It is currently 76 feels like 76 and 89% humidity. It will just be another sweatfest for me. Time to fill my water bottle and drag my butt out the door for a run.

I am busy today. Went and checked out one of my local hunting spots this morning after work.. I was told they surveyed the land over the spring, and those guys can have sticky fingers. But they didn't get my stuff (deer stand & trail camera). Now I gotta call a guy thats head of this hunting club and check into it. I'm not getting back into my old club for various reasons, so I'm in need of a place to hunt. Then I gotta head out for my run. 5 Miles easy, maybe make it a progression if the legs are into it.

Good morning everyone. It looks like it has been a productive day so far. It was a nice day out so far, but it is supposed to be very hot today. I got in 6.2 miles in 52:03(8:24). The last full mile was done in 7:39. Overall it was a very nice run.

Nice workouts all. We have 60s too. Nice. Got out for 14.5 pre-work miles. Not the 16-18 I was too hungover to do yesterday but it felt good not be be soaking in sweat after a mile. Managed to hold an 8mpm pace without too much trouble.

I'm suffering now though as I got 3.5 hrs of sleep, tops. We went to the Cubs vs Cards game last night via CTA. Extra innings - Cubs blew it. They had the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th and couldn't get it done. Cards hit a home run in the 11th to seal the deal. We get off the Red Line at Howard to change to the Yellow line to the park and ride - no train. But they have extended service for every Cubs night game. Apparently they decided not to last night! So, we and a mass of other folks are stranded on the north side of the city. We eventually get a cab but there are 6 of us. I have to go to the van, drive back and pick everyone up. By that time the CTA had decided that they screwed up and got a train going. A-holes!

Good morning, all.

Hey, R. Ruiz. LTNS.

FL Boiler -- Good luck in the swamp.

Jill -- Glad you got some overdue relief.

Dan -- Have a good rest day.

zrun -- Jealous of that weather.

BBS -- I think you should start stalking your prey sans weapon. Just chase it, catch it, take it down, and rip its throat out with your teeth. Oh, and have a good run.

Kevin -- Our time was exactly the same today. Except I only ran 6.0000.

jd -- Nice job on the double workout.

Me -- Life keeps interfering with running. Thought I could get in 20 in the dark last night, but it was just too hot for me -- 90 degrees. Could only make it 10. First run I've cut short in months. Pi$$ed. 6 recover this a.m. 4 tonight.

Got my 5 in here. 3 miles easy, 2 miles HM pace (8:44,8:27,8:32,7:42,7:35). HM pace felt good. I was a sweaty mess afterwards tho. You guys need to stop posting about temps in the 50s and 60s.... its not fair!!

Chances- Well... I have some pretty redneckish stories to do with hunting that could go along w/ that comment, but they may not be appreciated here in this forum!

John - huge bummer...sorry about that one. Glad you had some good weather this morning though!

Rob - I did the same thing yesterday.

35mins for me this morning. Halfway through I realized that I mistimed the weight room opening, so I went in instead of doing my workout. The coach kicked my butt today...I managed to slog home afterward and felt like passing out would be a good plan. Managed to lift some food to my mouth and be a bum for about 45mins, and now I'm almost back to normal. My run tonight should be interesting after the squats I did though...

Hey all,

It's Monday and that means off day for me. But the weather's so nice I might try to get something in anyway. Right now it's "only" 84 in the middle of the day. It actually feels comfortable after what we endured last week.

RA - quite a morning run there.

JD - good job on the double

BBS/FB - nice work on the 5-ish milers

kevin - nice finish to that 10k

Chances - I know the feeling. I had to cut my planned 14 back to 11.5 Saturday.

Zrun - that does almost sound chilly to those of us in the Midatlantic and Southeast.

Jill - nice ride, you're giving me ideas.

Alex - one second ready to pass out, then all back to normal. Gotta love "young" recovery speed.

RR - good to see you back and still at it

Dan - enjoy the rest day

Rest day!

The hound and I had a long work assignment this morning. We worked check in for a camp for kids in foster care. Some of these kids it was their 3rd or 4th year--that's how long they have been in foster care. We arrived at 7:45 and buses didn't pull out unitl 11:15. Very draining assignment, but so glad we could work it!

R. Ruiz - Nice 4. How is the Mrs doing with the c to 10k plan?

FB -- Boo for humidity. New job start next week?

Jill -- Sounds like a nice ride.

Dan -- Emjoy the rest.

zrun -- Nice run in nice temps.

BBS -- If you started hunting in the manner chances suggests, you'd be one scary dude.

Kevin -- Love your consistency.

jdp -- I've done all the p90x original workouts except CardioX. I need to start adding the workouts back in.

Chances -- I know what you mean about life interfering. I've decided to go ahead and step back and do the 55 mpw marathon training program instead of 70. I find I feel more relieved than disappointed.

Alex- nice workout today!

Me- Shin/calf was feeling sore again when I tried my recovery run today, so I walked. 5 miles in all.

I hope I didn't miss anyone.

Alex - Good luck with that one. I like to run to the gym, do weights and run home. Once I decided to add in a bunch of squats and leg presses. Note that I said once.

4boysmom - sounds very rewarding for all involved.

Chances - Sorry about the 20->10 miler. That sucks. That aside, I'm curious to know if you have an extra wide Garmin to fit all those decimal places? Also, you do realize that such distant measurement devices are inherently inaccurate... right?
