Good Morning,

I had an EARLY run this morning due to the new work schedule that my wife is on. It was a slow 3.4 miles at a 10:26 pace. It was warm, humid and the dewpoint was pretty high. My legs were also tired from soccer yesterday.

Have a good day everyone.

Busy start to the week it seems.

With the hamstring issue seemingly behind me now, I'm ready to start ramping it back up. Time to build back with some XT & easy runs this week, then hopefully jump back into my training program next week. The only thing I'm not sure about next week is whether get back on the 3:10 marathon plan or scale back to the 3:20 plan. I will have missed 3 weeks of training by then, and I'll be only 6 weeks out from the 9/10 HM in Vermont that is supposed to be my Chicago tuneup race. Funny how that clock keeps ticking...

Today - a little bike/run brick workout is planned, indoors due to continued sauna effect outside (74 dewpoint). Stationary bike for 30-40 mins, then a 10-minute jog. And RA, you're right (from a few days ago), I definitely need a bike trainer.

FB - good job getting out there this morning. I have a soccer game coming up next Sunday (skipped the first 2 because of my injury); those summer games sure bring it home on why the pros in Europe play through the winter instead.

RA - enjoy the rest day and BTW well done on the race. Trail races vary wildly of course and it's hard to compare between one and the other, or for that matter even the same race year to year, but that looks like a really good result to me. (zrun, you did that too, right?)

Dave - 4000 meters??? I can't even imagine how many hours that would take me.

4bm - way to reach for a little more this morning and get the payoff

BBS - nothing like an easy six made hard by the humidity

kfuller - nice job banging out the 6 after a late night drive

Gym workout done as planned. 30 minutes riding, 8.5 miles. Then off the bike to jog at super-easy pace for 10 minutes. Inching back up that ramp to training.

Felt good to finally do a real workout again.
