7 miles on the treadmill this morning. Last run before my 15K on Wed. Assuming the predicted thunderstorms don't get in the way! Have a great holiday week everyone-its a short one
Heh, that's okay kruss. It's Monday. PS - I think you can edit the title of the thread.

I ran 9 miles this morning - 4 miles of that was a tempo at HM pace. My time for that was 31:16, so a little faster than HM pace. Felt pretty good this morning.

Wow! Some pretty serious runs for the first day of the week! 7.6 hilly miles for me at an easy pace on an out and back course. 41 min out and 38 back. Saw a mother black bear with a cub about 3k from the end of the run. She moved a few meters off the road but stayed there and watched me as I ran by...about 50 feet away from her. The bears seem a bit more stubborn this year for some reason.....

Hi all,

No run for me today. Scheduled day off. It'd be a nice day for a run, but the legs are definitely screaming for a day off, so they are going to get it.

I'll probably do my exercise routine tonight.

10 miles on the trail tomorrow. Let's see if I can do this trail run without falling on my left shoulder (or any other body part for that matter). The last two times I've run up there, I've fallen.

Alex - No rest for the wicked - 5 miles at lunch - moderate pace.

Only 2 more runs before the race with Alex - It does make the thought of racing more fun when there is a side competition. Will Alex build on his 18 second race series lead or will the Flounder make things more interesting heading into Race # 3.

7 miles through the riverside neighborhoods tonight. It's the best I've felt on a run recently, but I am still working with heavy, stiff feeling legs. The humidity is down and there was a nice breeze, and that helped a lot.

I saw 4 other runners this evening -- the most I've ever seen in town (not counting running group). My competetive side came out and I just "had" to pass the two women I came upon.

aphigirl01, I wish we could be training partners -- we have the same HM/Tempo pace.

1 mile run to the practice track, then 6x 1:40 (400m goal distance) with 2:00 rest (target 400m), then I ran slowly 1 mile on the way home.

Hmmph. I feel like I'm just slogging it out there. My paces for the 6x:
5:56/mi (too fast)
6:22/mi (still too fast)
6:34/mi (just right) Took a mental break to clear my head.
6:33/mi
6:35/mi
6:40/mi (a wee slow and too hard.)

Add in the 7:53 mile there and the 8:18 on the way home and it was a fairly challenging workout. 10K race on Wednesday, and I think it is not going to be pretty.

Aphi, I've noticed some of your workout times and I wouldn't be surprised if you crush your half-mary goal time. I think you might be underestimating your abilities.

Roots -

I do striders, but as part of my run - in the last mile to 1.5 miles - I will stride out and jog in between 1-2 times a week.

Sometimes the striders are almost all out, other times they are just @ 1 mile to 5k race pace - just depends on how I feel.
