Good morning, TEAM LIT!

Will catch up with the weekend daily threads later. Been very busy with life, work, and everything in between.

My weekend went like this...

Saturday: 4 miles easy

Sunday: 11.5 miles in total. 2 mile warmup. 3.8 mile Ascutney Mountain Run covering 2300 feet of ascent, all up with finish at mountain summit. Ran 10 seconds slower than last year but felt pretty good. I know I'm a bit slower this year, so all is good. This was the last race in the mountain series, with a massive party afterward down by a nearby river. Check FB for pictures or wait a few days until I do a race report (see my blog). Cool down with a run to the true summit on a windy, rocky trail. Fun, fun stuff. Sad that the mountain series is now over. Soaked body in the river after the race for a few hours. Feeling fatigued by good in the body... for a change!

Monday: 3+ miles easy.

Nice finish to the season Thor!!! Glad you had a good weekend!

Ended up with a quick 2-miler last night with the pooch...hadn't taken her in about a week, so she was long overdue. Left all electronics at home and just enjoyed hanging with the wonder dog.

Today - bike commute - will be just about 28 total (it's something like 13.7 each way). I was making very good time until I got a flat...first one in a loooooong time. Back tire of course. :) But, got it fixed, went on my way and still got to work on time.

Have a great day today everyone!!

Very quiet weekend.

Saturday- 1:15:00 steady bike over my go to course to gauge how I'm doing. Last time I did this ride it took me 1:25:00. Felt good.

Then I had a deep tissue massage on my right calf and shins. OMG that freakin' hurt! I can happily say that my shin splints feel better but I still have some bruising. No running this weekend- just loads of ice/heat, stretching, massage and relaxation.

Straight swim this afternoon- just to boost my confidence. 2,000 m planned.

Nice going Thor. 10 seconds difference in a trail from one year to the next is insignificant.

Daily run for me today. I have a hilly 10K next weekend. I also need to get in the pool and do some swimming for a tri I'm supposed to do in 2 weeks. Maybe a few times out on the bike would be a good idea too. Plus I need to do some runs on Pikes Peak.

Got the ok from the Doc to keep at current activity level...doesn't think I tore anything, just strained the hip flexor/quad insertion point...go back for a follow up in 3 weeks.

Busy days....

Got back late last night from The Cherry Festival in Traverse City. What a beautiful weekend. DH ran 15K in 4-min PR time, and DS ran 5K 3-min PCR. Invitation-only Golden Mile was won at 4:05. Fun to watch! I got in 9mile slow run.

Today was 50min on a trainer with 4x5min. hard interval. I need to get serious about riding. Body still not feeling strong. 4 races in 6 weekends coming up before heading to West (Yosemite, SF, etc) for 10-day vacation.

3100y at masters swim. Some drills and breath control stuff. A bit of IM.

Pool is only ~1.3 miles from my house and I finally rode my bike there and back for the first time! Should do that more often, so long as the daylight at 5:45am permits.

Have actually been pretty busy at work. Wasn't able to get any workouts in on Thu or Fri.

Got back at again on Sat with a short brick (~57 min ride, ~15 min run).

Saturday evening, I met up with AdCo, MoCo, Bonnie and Bonnie's dancing friend for some grub and beers. A fun visit!

Sunday was an awesome day for a ride and I went out for ~2.5 hours.
