Good morning everyone. I am going to run this morning, but it will be after I take my daughter to preschool. I am most likely going to do 5 in the interest of time and such. Have a great morning.

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Like Jill said, temps right around 0 degrees or colder... so was a member of the more miles than degrees club after the first few steps...

Still, stuck in there for the whole 10 miles on the mountain road route though. By the time I was done, I had an ice beard of EPIC proportions:

Morning all,

It's a balmy 25 or so here today. Normally Monday's a rest day but since I took a recovery day yesterday and only ran 3 or so, I'm ready to get back out there today, probably for my usual 7 mile route near work.

Jill - now that's chilly, good day to rest

Jill and Loopy, and all you other non-Packers...I am kind of excited for the Super Bowl and I don't really care at all about football. Words of warning. ;)

Back from a weekend retreat, very frigid, lots of junk food, didn't run. Stayed active, but today should be interesting. Did lots of heavy lifting in the weight room at 6AM but also managed to drop something on my foot and procure a decent amount of pain. Hopefully that will be the end of it and no metatarsals will be involved. I think I'm going to talk to my coach about a mile time trial for Thursday. First class of the first day of second semester is done, now I'm off to go schedule my hours for my campus job that I just got. I feel infinitely more productive already than I was over my break.

Have a great Monday people.

CMJ, BBS, kfuller- have great runs today.

Alex- busy day! I hope the foot is okay. Mr jebba broke a metatarsal, and it was no fun. He walked around with a cane, and one of his co-workers started calling him Mr. Peanut. Heh.

Me- 10 effortless miles on the greenway. Gotta love runs like that.

Hi, gang.

Loopy, that ice beard is the best. I played it safe today, going just two miles at midday when the temps finally rose above zero. Definitely could have done more, but I'm not as brave as I used to be. I did some weights, too, though, so it wasn't a bad day by any means.

Still waiting to get my run in. Lunchtime didn't happen. So it's probably an evening date with the treadmill at home. Needs to be since tomorrow is now so packed that it will be my rest day for the week.

Finally...at 8pm I got to do my "midday run" after getting home. Took it outside into the chilly darkness while DW hit the mill for her run. 7.6 total..I knew after a brisk warmup mile this one was going to go down quickly. Kept it at MP for the next 5, then dropped it to almost HMP for the final 1.6 miles. 7:19 average pace for the whole run.
