Good morning, TEAM LIT!

Dawg: Nicely done in moving on up the fitness chain!

TASM: Nicely done to you too for being and staying so consistent... and now with spinning!

Yoshi: Great job on the 20 miler.

Don: You'll come back around. This "down time" will probably prove good for you, since you've been hitting it hard for a long time now. So you'll probably get the mental break needed before hammering onward!

Weekend Recap...

Saturday: 15 mile run with a large group. Got away with wearing shorts. Loved it. Fun run. Social. Total time including stops for water was 2:01.

Sunday: 7+ mile trail run with three others in my favorite place to run trails. Some good climbs but otherwise conversational pace. At the end I tagged on 8 repeats of a very steep grassy hill that climbed, maybe, 200 or more feet at roughly 20% grade.

Monday: 4 mile tempo run in a slippery snow.

Great day, Friends!

Nice weekend of running, Thor!

I have been mostly a lurker here lately due to problems with posting, but it seems better now.

I'm mainly a runner who balances that with competing in another sport, family and work so always enjoy the posts here and get good ideas on balancing the training/life load.

I'm shooting for a late May marathon so this weekend was the first week of training:

12 miles in a snowstorm on Saturday - we haven't had much snow here and this was the perfect light, fluffy cushion with temps right around 30 - doesn't get any better than that!

6 icy trail miles yesterday - whoever came up with the idea to put hex screws on the bottom of your shoes was a genius :)

5.5 easy miles today with 30 minutes of yoga/strength after - I really let this slack last year so I am trying to get at least 3 days a week completed.

Thanks for letting me play here and looking forward to a great 2012 for training and racing!
