CCRoz - Nice job on the run yesterday! And congrats to everyone who renewed their membership in the more miles than degrees club.

Yoshiko - Actually it was MP+40sec, my GMP is 5:55 min/mi. My coach only had me down for 1:15 but I felt good so I pushed through to 2 hours and I'm glad I did.

Sparty - keep dancing, ya fool!

RonBo - watch it buddy!

I'll be in football heaven next week. Bears-Packers at Solider Field for the right to go to the Super Bowl, does it get any better? Maybe the next game where my Steelers get the opportunity to tell New York to shut the hell up.

Oh yeah, workouts. 1:15 on the exercise bike. Started at 100 watts and increased it by 10 every 2 minutes till I hit 170 watts, and held it steady there till the end of the ride. Finished up with front, right side, left side and back planks, 1 min each with 10 slow crunches in between each.

I have a swim tonight with the tri group at Lifetime fitness. Its an easier swim, so this is my easy day.

I got great news yesterday that I was accepted to an Elite racing team in chicago called Well Fit. I sent in an application and didn't think I had a chance of getting in, but I got the email yesterday. That's probably my biggest triathlon accomplishment to date. So I'll get lots of free schwag (helmet, sunglasses, some other stuff), and get to train with a very advanced team. Well it sounds good now at least, we have a kickoff meeting on feb 3rd and don't officially start training with them until march 1. I also have to commit to several other things like promoting sponsors products and other stuff which may be a pain. But I'll do it, and see what happens. why not? Maybe they see some potential in me :)

Good morning Mike and Congratulations Scott, well deserved.

I have been struggling for the last week with a Migraine, going on day 6 now. It is really taking its toll on me. I was able to get in 7.5 miles on the TM today.

Happy training everyone.

Good morning, TEAM LIT!

Scott: Congrats. Nice to see your hard work get recognized. Remember that if this is a sponsorship gig and you want to stay on, they will constantly ask themselves what you bring to the table in promoting their brand. So make it a win-win by pushing whatever they're promoting.

Mike: Great football yesterday, and next week proves to be just as awesome in the matchups. My team unfortunately took a bow, but my rooting interest is no less.

6 super slow miles on snow with DH. Legs were better than what I thought they would be based on how tired I was yesterday. May swim later.

Well, the good news after that long being out of the water is a) my general endurance seemed ok, and b) I still know how to breathe both ways. Otherwise, me thinks it's going to take some time to get the swim skills back.

Congrats Scott! You've certainly done the work.

Triple for me today, although only the swim (which hasn't happened yet) is scheduled to be tough. 5 mile easy run, 30 min trainer @ 80%-ish, and whatever I can handle in the pool.

Today was MLK Day so a day off for me. I took advantage by x-c skiing in one of the town forests on trails I'd only hiked before but never skied on. I knew it was beautiful for hiking but it was amazing for skiing. I did the "Forest Loop" twice, once in each direction, which took about 45min. There are a lot more trails to explore so I hope to be back there soon with more time (and some water).

super cool Scott!!!

Me, started the morning off with a 85min PT session. ART and other scar adhesion work and stretching. Holy mother of gawd that hurt. The scar stuff down deep is stuck to my hip flexors and such. This is the second session of probably 4-5 and I can already tell I have greater range of motion. But it hurts like a mutha get de-ahesioned.

After that, hit the pool for what was listed as an "optional" workout if I felt ok. Well, I felt ok, so I did it. Long sets. 6x500 (w/up, 5x100, 500 pull, 2x250, 500 pull, c/d)

Spent 2 hours at the bike shop learning to take apart my bike and get it into my new case. And then put it back together.
