Happy Happy MONDAY!!!

Our security guard is back from a training workshop last week and boy and I glad to hear his voice over the intercom. The people who were filling in just could not get the system correct and were butchering names so we spent a lot of time snickering last week over things we heard on the intercom.

Other than that I don't have to much stuff to announce.

Greetings, all.

With most of the ice disappearing over the weekend, life is back to normal for me. As much as I enjoyed the snow a week ago, the ice got old - fast. I'm glad to be back at the officce and not be trapped at my house!

Weekend fun: Sisterleenie's neighborhood had a snowman contest over the weekend.

This one won most creative:

Sisterleenie built this one with her boys.... a shark chasing a swimming snowman

Heheee Sisterleenie's creation totally reminds of that Calvin and Hobbes snowman series. Funny!

Not fun: I took the bus today instead of walking from my Mom's because of ths snow but dayum I wish I had walked. The bus was standing room only and I was the last person on so I was standing center aisle. If I reached between two people I could grab a railing if I needed to. Otherwise, it felt like I was surfing to work. And I was sweating BUCKETS, I couldn't unzip my jacket or take off my scarf because I had my backpack and a travel mug of coffee in hand and I had to maintain balance or else land in someones lap. I could feel the rivulets of sweat run down my back and sides and down the sides of my face. The folks around me were probably alarmed that I was sick. ugh.

Hey peeps! Wow, I had such a fun weekend I am simply not ready for Monday. The boys ended up going to a sleep-over last night so DH and I went out to dinner at the new Great Dane. It was fun having a last minute date. I had planned to come into work late this morning and hang out with the boys, but since they weren't home - I came in business as usual. I have to say it was nice having no traffic. I also came in to a very clean office - which was a treat. After I got a filing done on Friday, I stayed late and cleaned/organized the paper disaster in here. It feels good to have a relatively clear desk! Hopefully I'll be able to get out of here early. It was nice having a date night, but I miss my boys too!!

In other news, it is snowing again, which makes me feel very lucky I was able to get my long run in yesterday on *mostly* clear roads.

Have a great Monday

I had a super fabulous day on Saturday. Part 1 of my friend's bachelorette party activities (no actual party scheduled) was brunch at Bouley, a phenomenal French restaurant in TriBeCa followed by tasty cocktails at a couple bars and then a trip to Mario Batali's Eataly - it was so fun to hang with my friend's friends from Upstate NY and enjoy some girl time. Part 2 is a similarly structured day happening in a couple weeks, this time with her two sister-in-laws. Needless to say, the bride is a huge foodie and I'm happy to be invited to both outings!

Great snowman pics!!! What a great idea!

No school today, which was just what I needed. I slept in until 8. I NEVER get to do that!!Unfortunately, I paid for it with an extremely clingy and whiney 8 year old. She feels fine, just doesn't want to do what was asked of her.

I think we might go ice skating later. That would be awesome!

Love the snowman pics- especially since it was 77 degrees yesterday. Sisterleenie's is cool! Emersen is still sick- day 5. I may take her back to the Dr b/c I'm thinking maybe now she has an ear infection. Who knows. Keeping Grayson away from her is hard. He has a slight cold and is being closely monitored for RSV. Hopefully he won't get it or he'll be hospitalized for about 10 days. Good times. Being home with 2 sick kids this many days in a row confirms that I am not cut out to be a stay at home mom...god love those who are...just not it for me! I was going to go back to work mid-March, but may push it to the end so that Grayson has a bit longer to recover.

Do you ever get that day where you're doing what you normally do, running the reports the way you do every day and nothing is working? I do the same reports day in and day out and not a single one of them has run how they are supposed to. I didn't change anythign in the way that I run them, they just don't want to work.

Tomorrow I'm sure they will run fine.... now only if I could just go home and forget about it for today.

KJ, I'm sorry to hear that Emersen is still sick. If you and I lived closer, I'd come help you out and let her stay with us. *sigh* You've got a lot on your plate right now.

DH took the girls out on saturday so I had the house to myself to paint the bedroom. I got it all done, it looks really good. Managed to drop something on my toe, bruise my arm and bang my knee, though. I'm such a clutz. I also ache today from using painting muscles.

Took Lena to a birthday party yesterday and she had a blast. Then took her to buy new skates. She had them on in the store and was pretending to skate. She's never actually tried it so I think it'll be interesting to see how she does next weekend.

You know how clothing can absorb smells? I went to an antique place this morning (Bard, Jeffrey's in Findley right off 75) and got a headache while I was there from the smell. Sort of musty, sort of like smoke. Shortly after heading down to the studio I realized I stank like Jeffreys. Had to change clothes. But I can still smell it, so it must be in my hair too.

Hey, all. At the office getting some stuff done. Spent a long time figuring out how to get a YouTube video into a PPT 2007 presentation. Too long. Those kids'd better appreciate it.

Hopefully I'll head home soon.

We had the day off of work, so I was only in there for 3 hours. Ran into my boss and his boss and we were the only folks other than football in the building, so that's probably a good thing. Also, I'm clean shaven for the first time in a month!

DW just left for work. I'm on hold with TracFone trying to get her number transferred to a new phone. Then I need to give the ducklings some attention before they rebel.

Hey folks!!

Feel like I haven't checked in forever. Colin has decided to try his hand at cluster feeding so basically I feel like I am feeding him 24/7. Good times. Aiden has been so awesome lately though so that makes it a tad easier. Went to a playgroup meet up on Sat. It was great! Kids of all ages, super nice moms, so excited to finally have found a group we might be able to hang out with. They are a baby wearing group so I got some cool advice on different types of baby carriers I can try to make life easier. I have a loaner right now and love it!!

KJ hope both kiddos feel better fast!!

Maria your weekend sounds amazing!!!

I sent Joe off at the airport about 2 hours ago, and he won't be home until late tonight (after 11pm California time). I hope he didn't acclimate too well to Ohio time, haha! We had a good weekend together, even with the funeral, including a good mix of activity and relaxing at home. I wish he could have stayed longer, of course, but we will see each other again in about a month.

I've been lurking but of course can't recall who needs good thoughts other than KJ and her little ones, so I will send out (((((prayers, vibes, good wishes))))) to all who need and want them.
