<p>I am interviewing a librarian at the Addlestone Library at College of Charleston at 11am for one of my applications; so, it's going to be a chopped up day for me.  I'm trying to come up with intelligent questions, but I'm not sure how I'm doing....we'll see how it all comes out in the wash.  <img alt="biggrin.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/biggrin.gif"></p>

<p>DH is taking little man for a haircut later so I am going to sneak out and do a little shopping.  I am making great progress, I think I mainly just have gift cards left to buy.  Though a few people haven't given me lists yet so I have already told them, no list, no gift (they will get a GC as well).</p>

<p> Mornin'.  I could have used one more day before coming back to work, to just veg at home.  I was on the go with a lot of car travel for 5 days straight and didn't get home til almost 9:30 last night.  I'm pooped! </p>

<p><strong>Ann-</strong> you may have already thought of these, but if the librarian has been doing this for awhile, ask her what changes she has seen in the profession over the years.  For example, has technology (Google, etc) redefined the role of librarians and how?  (I assume the answer to that is yes but the how part of the question is the interesting part.)  Also ask how she sees the profession continuing to adapt in the future, since this will soon be your profession.  In which specializations is there a need for more librarians versus where is there a glut of qualified people?  Will that change 5-10 years down the road?</p>

<p>I sent out the addresses that I have for the Christmas Card exchange this year and I also attached the list we got last year so check your emails.</p>

<p>This weekend was fantastic and this week ( although I've had a rough start to today) is hopefully going to go SUPER fast as Thursday I will be leaving on a jet plane for sunny (ish) California. </p>

<p>I had a great weekend!  I was dressed up as a snowman inside a giant snow globe on the back of my sister's car during the Christmas parade saturday morning.  I loved seeing the faces of the kids as we went by!  I'll post some pics once DH gets them off the camera.  I'm telling you one thing, though.  It was a balancing act! </p>

<p>Went to my Christmas party saturday night.  Fun!  I spent a lot of time on the dance floor (and drank a bit too much wine!).</p>

<p>We got Lena's ears pierced on saturday, too.  She'd been bugging us for months to have them done.  She picked out kitty earrings and they're so cute on her.  My little girl is growing up!</p>

<p>Hello all - I got gassy last night (I know, TMI) and couldn't get to bed until well past midnight, which unfortunately means <span><img alt="coffee.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/coffee.gif" style="width:29px;height:29px;"></span> today.  Also woke up to some serious frost on my windshield (it was apparently 26 degrees when I walked out the door this morning.)</p>

<p>We had a lovely Thanksgiving and long weekend but I'm always sad when I can't spend it with my family.   We'll all be together in OBX in less than a month and it appears the STL sibs did well coordinating their turkey day outfits thanks to shirt.woot.com ...</p>

When I said goodbye to Dh (I was leaving for the chiro appmt) he looks at me and says, "Think you've got enough on today? I can see 3 layers, but I know that can't be all."</p>

<p>OMG I think I HAVE to get the "That's how we roll" shirt for DH.  He plays that geeky starto basbeball game and it's all about the dice.  Every year for the draft (please, don't, I already said it was geeky!) he does something different.  This shirt might be this year's winner!!</p>
