Fun: None to be had here, just yet. Though I did get a funny email. Saturday around 2pm, I dropped off two fruit cups and two cupcakes for my mom and stepdad at their place. Mom's cupcake disappeared rather quickly. She emailed me around 1am this morning (She works 2nd shift), and said that my stepdad waited too long. She claimed his cupcake, too. /snicker.

At work a bit earlier than I might normally be. The 1 car situation makes for alterations in schedules. But the funny thing is, it really isn't that bad...

Awwww...bebe!

I made banana muffins this morning before heading to work. Mmm...they smell so good! And even better, they taste great!

Had a good weekend, nice and quiet. Watched some movies and took it easy.

QOD: Do you pee with the bathroom door open? I mean when your significant other is in the house. I just realized over thew eekend that I don't really care if the door is closed anymore. Well, for peeing anyway. I guess I've gotten used to having to use the bathroom when the girls are around (because if I close the door they're pounding on it). So now I don't even bother closing it when DH is around. I'm not sure how he feels about that. heee hee!

Awww - what a cutie pie! Glad you had a great birthday Wippy! Thanks again for the offer on the trainer - but I decided to splurge and get a whole set-up this weekend. I did a ton of research on them and decided to get one I thought would work well for me rather than get sent to the closet after a couple spins on it. We should definitely try to arrange a meet-up anyway though!

Clare- your muffins sound delish. I got a blueberry mix, but left too early this morning to make them. Maybe tomorrow.

Also - I forgot before --> Congrats to Winter's son!

Tonya - I know a few people that really enjoy moving down to 1 car. I often feel bad that DH and I don't commute together because we literally work 2 blocks apart. Unfortunately we seem to have different schedules though to accomodate everything the boys have going on.

Missy - glad you are with family. As far as the driveway goes, it is about 300 feet (with a 40 foot rise - yes it is steep).

Maples - good luck on the return!

Tycho looks like a natural on the slopes!

~~~~~~~~~~~~vibes to katholeenie's friend~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Congrats to Winter's kidlets.
My weekend - Saturday was a trip to the gym, shower, then home to get DS#2 for hockey. After hockey, dropped him off late to a party, ran some errands, picked him up, made lunch for him and DD, then shoveled off my house until dark. Yes, my house. There have already been a couple of roof collapes in the area, and I know tons of people that have water coming in through their roof. I have not had any leaks, but neighbors on both sides of me, and several other houses on the street have.
I got about 1/3 done. Instead of finishing on Sunday, I said screw it, and took DS#2 and DD skiing. (DS#1 and Mrs LH were in the city for his show). Although I am still worried about my house, we did have a lot of fun. Topped it off with a family dinner out (with all 5 of us). After that, we folded what felt like 15 loads of laundry, and we were all asleep by 8:30.
Today is work, and when I get home, will work on the roof for a bit. More weather coming this week.
Fun: DS did a good job of getting going this morning, we were just a teensy bit late, which isn't good, but he's there. We weren't the only ones late, lots of other cars still dropping off when we pulled in, probably due to the weather. But we may be the only ones being monitored by the Truancy Office. But he wasn't surly and did what he had to do and asked for help when he needed it and we got out the door without any yelling. That is a good start in my book. We'll work our way up from there.
More fun: This weekend is our annual weekend trip to the Kalahari Water Park in Wisconsin Dells. And then on Sunday - The Super Bowl!!! Wahoo!
No kidding. It won't be as bad here as what you'll get, but we're still predicted for another 10 inches. pffththt. I guess that means I should get my errands done early.
Not sure what's fun today. I still haven't picked up or cleaned. And I need to throw more mugs. The mug part counts as fun, I guess. Especially if I have another easy centering day.
QOD: I don't care. And really, it doesn't matter if I shut the door or not, because Gus will just open the door and come in.
Morning all! I had a fabulous weekend of catching up with friends, the bachelorette/non-bachelorette fun day on Saturday was a total blast!! Super delish eats (eggs whites, smoked mozz and spinach baked with potatoes in a skillet) and rosemary bloody mary's for brunch followed by some time at the spa getting our nails done followed by a couple yummy cocktails at various spots and a superbly wonderful dinner of seafood at a gorgeous spot in a classical hotel. We ended the night with drinks in coconuts :)
Missy - your trip sounds like the best decision! I hope to see you this weekend!!
Hey all!
Flyby for me...I'm drowning in work after being off on Friday. Why was I off, you ask? Well, I was home with a very sick DS. He caught the nastiest stomach bug I have ever seen. Poor kid threw up a total of 28 times. Yes, 28 times. 28 separate trips. Poor kid. I have never seen him that sick in his life. He was dehydrated to the point of disorientation. I was >< close to taking him to the ER. Poor bugger. He finally perked up by last night, just in time to go to back to school today.
QOD - door closed always in the downstairs bathroom, but will sometimes leave the door to the upstairs bathroom partially open if no one else is upstairs.
Good morning all. Snow, snow, snow..... goodness. Be careful all use guys up North.
I'll be near Flemdawg's old college this Thursday as I travel to a manager's meeting.
Nice bebe pics.
Is it time for lunch yet?
Oh yeah.....it's payday!
I SO WANT TO KEEP ON FRIGGIN BUDGET NEXT MONTH! I am obsessive about things at times and I so want to use the Dave Ramsey system of finances. I have a good plan but I really need the discipline. Take some spending cash out today (or tomorrow) then TAKE THE DEBIT CARD OUT OF WALLET. LOL I need to learn the art of telling myself "no" or "later" instead of plowing away and eating out at lunch 4 days a week. No wonder my waistline is bugging me (and my britches). Also if I have the debit card to fall back on every day it makes it too easy to get lax on spending. I want a month where my back statement is neat, short and only shows bills paid and not a dozen or more impulse or food purchases. I nickel and dime myself to death sometimes. It's not the big items that do me in it's the dozens of small ones. Grrrrr heheheh
Well tomorrow is a new month and another fresh start for my budget. It would do me so much good to take control of the finance situation.
So not looking forward to this storm. Hope it's less than predicted!
((ailin 30s and friends)) DS was sick most of the weekend too. I don't feel great today, but I'm hoping it's just from tired, not sick. Doesn't denial look good on me ;)
My not fun for the day is that my first exam is tomorrow and I have no desire to study. At. all. Hopefully I can pull it together this evening.
February is a good budget restart month. I seem to do it every year ;)
ordered someone's birthday present today...not sure if it will get here by Saturday (especially with the snowpocolypse coming) but even if it's a day late someone's going to be happy.
Maples - good luck with the finances. Cutting out the eating out will help both your finance and fitness plans.
Wippy - Aaaaaaaugh!! What cute photos! Thank you for sharing! Also, I'm late, but I hope you had a FAB birthday, daahling.
Qod: Uh.. this is no longer an issue for me, since I'm solomente these days. Previously though, the door was always closed for me. I am a privacy kind of girl when it comes to restroom matters!
NCRG - Holy crap! that poor kid. >< I'm glad he's on the mend!
