Oy Vey! -18*F this morning. You know it's cold when you can't see anybodies faces on the street they are so muffled up. People are actually hunched over from the cold as they walk to their buildings.

I parked in one of the many parking garages today instead of my usual outdoor lot.

Ok. back to work! No doubt, today is going to be a good day!

Haha - I am with you Wippy! I looked at our temp guage this morning and was excited - it was something like 15 degrees. That is a whopping 27 degrees warmer than it was yesterday!

Where are you going sledding?

Yes go Pack! I am excited they are going to the Superbowl. Although I was bummed for DS - he wanted his Bears to win so badly. It ended up being a great game.

Good morning. Remember at the holidays when I mentioned I have no heat in my office? Yeah.... It was 42 in the office when the secretary first arrived at 7 a.m. Now it's made its way up to a balmy 53. And that's in her area. My individual office has no heat at all, so I'm even colder.

Maybe by lunchtime I'll take off my coat.......... <-- that's me, shivering

morning gang...

Unexpected day off work for me. Had a little run in with a snowbank/concrete median wall this weekend and I've got to take the explorer to the bodyshop to see just how much damage there is (doesn't look like much but since it was totaled out after it was rolled in the snow a few years ago and we took the cash any/all repairs are on us) and since is a 1996 depending on just how much is wrong we might be on the market for a nice in-expensive used vehicle.

So I'm using today to get caught up on some stuff around the house. Here's to a productive Monday.

Geez KP! Glad it was just the car that got squished and not you.

I don't know if attaching 26 handles is fun, but that's what I've got going on today. Oh, that and taking pics of pots. I just unloaded the kiln. Several chips and dips and platters and stuff. (Speaking of the Superbowl.)

Oh, and this is fun. Finally got my tank pattern up on Ravelry:

I know, the sunglasses are a little crazy. I didn't bring mine (the day started out completely gray and cold), so my friend who took the pics gave me hers so I wouldn't be all squinty.

Brrr...cold here, too!

Kath, I love the tank! I should get that pattern and see if my mom will make it for me. She's great at knitting, but she doesn't have a ton of time to do stuff these days with looking after my nanna and working full time.

(((KJ and Grayson))) Ugh. I was hoping he wouldn't get that virus but I guess his system is just so strained right now. I hope he can fight it off really soon. Please let us know how he's doing (and you, too). And let us know if there's anything at all we can do.

You too, Missy. I was having a rough time after Lena was born and ended up packing the two of us up and going home to my mom's for a while. It helped a lot. And what was even better about it, my family were able to keep an eye on me and make sure I was ok. I was living away from home at the time and if I'd stayed where I was, no one would have known what was going on with me and it might have been worse.

The weekend started off well. We took Lena skating for the first time and had a date night at Yuk Yuk's. But then we got home to find out Lena had caught the same stomach bug that Evelyn and DH had earlier in the week. She'd been throwing up all night. Around 3 AM I woke up with it and I spent all day yesterday between my bed and the bathroom. The good thing is, it seems to have worked itself out quickly.

so the shipping lady thinks she's my boss, and she's constantly bossing me around ect. Well today she's extremely hungover, I can hear her b!tching that I'm doing work for other people and not her. We have a massive problem this week and my boss is in Austria so I've been tasked with helping out when ever and where ever I can. So I got all of my work for this week done on Friday so I can be available for what ever they need me for. At the same time I'm being massivly obnoxious and it's making my co-workers and I laugh. shipping lady HATES oatmeal, she gags everytime she sees one of us eating it. So far 3 of us have had it for breakfast and we keep parading it past her desk. Childish? yes. Does it make me happy? you bet.
