about to go hit pilates and then take the pup for a walk before work. i'm a wee bit sore.

Good morning. I did a bit over 4M this morning. I think yesterday's hills are effecting me a bit today. I'm not sore, but my pace was defnintely not what it usually is. Oh well. Yoga later on today. Should feel fab!!!!!

Ran in Central Park with the lovely <span>Maria</span> yesterday! Wicked shin splint meant we ran the loop, then walked most of the loop again, and ran a wee bit more. 2 miles running, 2.5 miles walking (I should have suggested we run home since my leg was warmed up, but I didn't realize how far it was back to her place).

Thank Goodness this shift is almost over! I think I'm heading to the gym to swim this morning. I want to do something relaxing. Then maybe the whirlpool or steam room. It's been one of those nights! Though a beer with the crew that's heading to Ceadercrest in a few is also tempting. Yes, we know where bars are open at seven am here.<br><br>

No running for me today. Hmmm, I think I'll come up to NYC to run Central Park with Maria this spring. Sounds like fun. <img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif">

3 miles on my schedule today, may go a bit more though. It's supposed to be in the mid 40's today and then get cold and snowy again tomorrow. I'm going to run outdoors and want to take advantage of that fact. <img alt="biggrin.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/biggrin.gif">

Ok, I need a spankin. I didn't do the long run this weekend. I was supposed to do 20k with the group but I just wasn't feeling it. I could make all kinds of excuses, but really that's what it came down to. Just didn't wanna. Now I feel kinda bad because it was a gorgeous day and I really should have gone. *sigh*

I have to run tonight - I have enough plans each night this week that this might be my only chance until Thursday. Now I just have to decide how far.<br><br>

Does anyone know what replaced the Saucony Myth? I was wearing the Jazz and it was replaced by the Myth, which I love. But now the pair I have are starting to wear down. I don't notice it much on shorter runs but I do on long ones. DH cashed in a wack of his airmiles to get me a gift card for the Running Room so I can get a new pair (whuhooo!) but I'm not sure what to get.

Got 4.5 on the mill yesterday. I didn't get a LR in for the weekend though.. boo hiss. However, it was really good to catch up on some sleep and have a mostly stress-free weekend.<br><br><b>Running belt question</b>: Recently, someone (not sure if it was in the 30's thread or elsewhere on the boards) posted a link about a new running belt. Apparently it has a pouch big enough to carry a cell phone, yet the whole thing is made of snug material that hugs the body.. so there's no 'flop flop flop" of the pouch part, while running. Does anyone by chance recall that product? It was only $20, and I was thinking of getting one, and now I can't remember the website. Bah!<br><br>
Amusing conclusion to my weekend race stuff. For those of you that read the details, you recall my passing a lady on the 16th, and then playing leapfrog with her on the 23rd, to finally pass her, and not see her again, right? The results are now posted online. Had I walked or even slowed down once, she probably would have passed me. She finished 17 seconds behind me. Eep! <img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif">

Good morning! Crosstrained at the gym this morning. I am trying to work on getting my left leg to be as strong as the right one. I can already tell I got a looooong way to go on that. After weights, I did 30 minutes of cardio.<br><br>
I'm thinking about joining a racing team. Apparently, you don't have to be fast to join!

Hey all:<br><br>
Got a hard workout on Saturday, so I went a bit more moderate yesterday on the LR (13 @ 7:30) and have an easy day today. Maybe 5 or so.<br><br>
DS is still sick, but getting better. We've been sick on and off in our house since xmas. I'm tired of it. All I want is a full night's sleep.<br><br>
Alright. Enough whining.<br><br>
Good runs today everybody.
