Morning Gang -

Any eastcoasters running in the snow today?!

I got 3 recovery miles done this morning. Legs still stiff and sore from yesterday's hilly MP LR. I'll lift weights on the lunch hour.

Good runs and rests to all!

Hi all - betting on at least a little yoga after work; if I'm REALLY motivated, I'll drag my lazy ass out for some laps in the pool. That won't probably happen until later in the week, though

Hope you east coasters don't get too snowed under, and good runs, workouts and/or rest days to you all

Good Morning guys!

I had my ESI this morning, so I'm on forced rest for the remainder of the day. I managed 4 (was supposed to get 9) before my appt. Ortho, spine surgeon and PT said to go ahead and run starting Tuesday if I feel up to it. Anesthesiologist who did the procedure said not to run for the entire week. I'm pretty sure I'll be 100% fine to run, 3 out of 4 seems fair enough. Gosh, I hope this helps!

I think it's colder here than Eugene today!! We were in the mid 30's this morning! Wheeeeeeeee....

Howdy, all.

I am supposed to go to spinning tonight, but I'm just not feeling it Already did bi/tri/core work so I may just chill at the house tonight in preparation for the Falcons game. I know i should go to spinning, but ahh well. I ran 10 on Christmas eve and another 10 on Christmas day, so if I take today off, I doubt that I"m going to have a serious fitness setback. :)

Be safe out there, folks!

Not quite yet. Last year was 1605, and I'm now at 1598. So I'm not there yet, but I'm not worried. I have 5 days to get 7 miles. I think I can do that.

As for today... We got almost 2 feet of snow. Thank goodness it's light and fluffy stuff. But even light and fluffy gets heavy eventually. My office is closed for the day, so I was free to stay home and spend the morning shoveling. Now I can spend the afternoon doing... ??? I don't know what. I suppose I can run. It might be kinda silly to try and run outside, but hey, the roads are plowed, more or less..

Hey, if anyone wants to do the Glass City Marathon the rates go up at the end of the year. It's April 14th, has a different race director from before and is WAY better organized, has lots of porta potties, a different course, & a 5k, half, 5-man relay and full marathon.

It's flat. And it's cheap*.

Marathon - $50

Half - $35

5 man relay - $25 (per person)

5k - $20

*these are the early bird rates. After 12/31 prices go up to $60, $45, $35 & $25.

eta: I'm going to sign up for the half. It might not be pretty or fast, but I got clearance today to sign up.

Kath - I'm going to pass that on to my brothers Doug (Detroit) and Bruce (Cincy). That would be a nice little road trip for them to meet up at and they could run the half together.

Workout today has been to load $50k worth of computer gear into a panel van and move it across to the new arena. My assistants (union staff) have the day off, so I'm running the whole show today.
