Greetings all.

I had another 10-miler yesterday. Damn those stupid McDonald's Monopoly games + mellowcreme pumpkins! I knew I had gained a few lbs (less than 5% body weight, thankfully) in October, but I feared the scale. Yesterday was the first time in a month I had worn my short-shorts for a long run. Ouchies. Looks like I need bodyglide for some inner thigh contact until I drop off those stupid didn't-have-the-willpower-to-resist lbs. Grr!

Guess that's a little incentive to watch it next October, eh? :)

Hope everyone had a FAB fitness weekend!

Good morning, y'all. I have returned home from my weekend in Florida. It was fun, except for the fact that somebody forgot to tell my team that they had a game to play on Saturday. Oh well, I guess you can't win the division every year...

I got in a couple runs while I was down south. Yesterday was a day off, but I'll get back out there today. I'm really tired right now, so I don't know when that'll happen...

Perfect fall morning for a run here, but I can tell that winter is definitely on its way. 5.3 miles through downtown.

Morning. Last weekend of running before the marathon NEXT Sunday. Obviously it snowed here this weekend. We were supposed to not do the marathon paced stuff, since the trails weren't plowed. But we somehow did a few miles down around 7:00/mile. It was a blast. Had a little snowball fight before we got running, then on the run we got snowball ambushed by a bunch of other runners.

Luckily it was warm enough that the trails were clear around the lakes on Sunday. Did a nice easy 10 miler.

Morning all -

Nice weekend running Theia! And enjoy taper time baggs!

I had another 4.5 this AM. I had to work yesterday moving servers and re-racking them. Spent a lot of time sitting\kneeling on hard floors, and that hurt my toe more than any running has. (When kneeling, my foot goes straight back, so the top of the toe actually presses on the floor).

Good. I thought that was a bit of a rash choice on his part.

Nice work peeps. I am very successfully executing my slacker plan. I only ran 2x last week, which included my GOTR 5K (which was much slower than I normally run and included some walking breaks). I am good with that, but am bummed that I missed yogalates. I was just a bit too overwhelmed with the state of my house to leave for an hour and a half last night - needed to clean up all the tools, dust, mess and get ready for my party tonight!

Hi all - with the weekend being full of family-related fun, didn't do much of anything this weekend. Snuck in a little yoga & strength training on Saturday and a little bit of stair climbing intervals yesterday.

Going to be a gorgeous day in the Bay Area today - brought my running gear to run after work.

Here's a semi-hypothetical QOD: Would you pay more than triple digit dollars to meet your favoritest famous public figure (athlete, music star, whatever) ever (with the money going toward a charity of some sort)? If you would, what would be you upper-end limit?

QOD I paid $750 five years ago to attend a speech and dinner with Bono, with the full expectation of meeting him. The speech was great, the meet & greet cocktail hour was fine, and my brother and I hung back because we knew we still had the dinner opportunity to talk to him, whereas some people had paid less for the cocktail party only. And then at dinner I was literally the.next.person. in line to talk to him, and the freaking security person made me take my seat for dinner. I was about 10' away from my idol and hero, and I was forced to walk away without talking to him.

I still can't really talk about it. I was completely devastated.

QOD: No. Not a chance. I'm too jaded by the sports figures I have met.

Theia that's awful.

Moon there isn't anyone I would pay more than triple digits to see. Mom and I have paid $100-200 to go to hospitality suites at NASCAR races and we've met drivers that way, but there was a lot of perks to having the tickets. If we didn't meet the drivers, we still would have enjoyed it. Free food (breakfast, lunch and snacks), all the drinks you want, hat, tshirt, pit road tour, etc.

QOD - I've paid money to hear people speak. But I wouldn't pay triple digits for it... or for pretty much anyone.

Hell, they've got issues, and clothes, and jobs, and families, and everything I've got. No one's going to pay to see me!!
