Morning all

We've got some snow showering going on.... and more predicted later in the week. Just one more thing to add to my recent funky mood.

Thinking about venturing out in the snow for an easy 5... we'll see, maybe a TM day seeing I'm not too hip on getting wet today. Seems like it would be fun though.

Jebba- I am thinking about getting the P90x... But I'm afraid I will not be able to devote myself to both it and running... How hard was it for you?

Good morning BBS and 4BM. I got to the gym for 5 X 2 minutes. The repeats were done at 7:08 pace. It worked me out good this morning. everything in between was about 2 minutes slower. 5 mil3w in 42:34. Have a great morning everyone.

Morning all,

Rest day here. I'll take it because for some reason my right hip flexor is a little balky today. No idea why but hopefully the scheduled rest day will clear it up.

Easy run yesterday in Philly after a quick overnight trip. DW & I put in 6.5 on Kelly Drive, on what turned out to be a nice afternoon. 41 and sunny, a little bit windy but not too much. Then after a Starbucks stop it was time get back to my bro's house, get cleaned up and head home. Heard most of the Super Bowl on the radio while driving down a mostly empty I-95.

Have good ones all.

I had to opt for the TM...

DW was leaving to take DS to pre school when she popped back in the door telling me she had a flat and wanted me to drive them. I did. On the way back my truck got a little fishy on one spot, but I was able to save it. We got back to the house, checked the weather on my phone in our driveway and I decided that it would be better to go get DS from preschool so DW would not have to get back out when it will be worse. So we went back and got him.

That being said... 5miles on the TM. Horton Hears a Who helped me through it.

Resting the ole legs. I was looking at the Pfitz 12/70 plan last night. I determined that I haven't a hope in getting to 70 mpw during the winter. Maybe I can get to 55 or 60?

BBS - you should draw a fishtail on the back of your truck. Horton, the P90X guy, heard a who too?

Hawk - Rest up. Hip flexors are my achilles heal. That and a dodgy ankle, which has nothing to do with my achilles. I e-mailed the NYC marathon folks and they said that my "in Lottery" status may not change to "Accepted" until late March! I guess I won't be making any travel plans just yet...

kfuller - nice job the TM speedwork

4boysmom - hope your knee gets unwonked.

G'Day.

Sorry to see these injuries flare up. Guess it's better to have them in the "off" season.

Had a great run (for me) today. Five miles. Funny how on one day I struggle to get two miles in, walk breaks and all, and two days later I run five like a real runner. Master bodies are weird.

BBS, nice job dealing with the distractions and still getting a run in.

Good runs, all

All right, I have to stop in for today...the day WI has looked forward to for a while. Go PACK! Sorry for your neighborhood boy, Mom. Finally starting to get settled into my crazy routine this semester.

All you injured people, rest up and heal fast! Best of luck to everyone racing soon, and everyone else- keep on trucking like you do!

BBS- doing running and p90x was tough the first time, and it's tough this time. It's more the time commitment than the physical exertion, because I am doing my running pretty easy.

Nice workouts today, folks.

Me- 10 miles easy on the greenway.
