Mike- Yep, you're correct about the out and back on Lincoln. It was so that I could get back to my car with the distance somewhere close to 18. Though I didn't go out quite far enough, that's why there was that little bit through the parking lot at the end.

2500yd recovery swim for me this morning in 39:37. Even though I went in with the plan of going nice and easy the whole way, I had to keep reminding myself to slow down. I think I did a pretty good job of staying under control.

DOR. Last week I got my mileage up to 43 miles. Last time I was there was back in 2008 peaking for my marathon. Planning to peak at 55 for this cycle and it's going pretty well.

Easy recovery run this morning, just over 8 mi in just over an hour. We had freezing rain last night so I pulled out the Yax Trax and used them for the first time this year. I felt pretty stable as I ran across the ice. Then 2900m masters swim with the bulk of the workout 6 x 200m (t-pace+5, t-pace, t-pace - 5, 50m recovery, repeat).

Its a beautiful day and I thought about taking a spin outside, but the 36 deg temp plus winds made me think again.

I had a piddling 26.7 mi running last week, down from 94 the previous week. Of course, when you only run 2 days during the week your mileage isn't going to be very high. It was a good recovery week and now I'm poised to push through the final 7 weeks until Boston.

Everyone seems busy on Monday. Speed work for the bike on the trainer, got 18 miles. Not sure if that is considered speed work, but not sure what to call it now as it gets longer (aka 20+ miles).

45 min on the bike as a "recovery" ride and I like my new fit, so far. I'm more upright, but need to just get my legs better for the coming years and hopefully a new bike one day.
