Good day everyone.

Five mile run this morning on the treadmill; I threw in a little hills and then increase speed as I brought the incline back down.

I am really ready to run outside again. But not necessarily the best thing for me to do around here. The dust and filth in the air wouldn't be the best for me.

Happy training everyone.

Nice job on the treadmill Dave!

8 cold, windy miles on the snowy canal path for me. Was actually quite pleasant in between the wind gusts; during the wind gusts, not so much...

Dave - Hopefully, you'll be running outside soon enough.

Loopy - Cold, windy, snowy...None of that sounds fun.

Rest day. Sort of.

Shoveled the driveway. About 8 or 9 inches of snow. Attn local weather stations: It wasn't light and fluffy.

Afternoon Kicksters, long time no post. I've been lllaaazzzyyy. Only got 2 runs in last week for a whopping 11 miles. But, I did get in 4 yesterday and a 5er today with 2 400s @ 5K pace, just to get the feel of speed back in my legs. Filled out an 11 week race schedule this morning, I'm excited about 5K training again.

Glad to see you back Dave!!

Loopy, it was soooooooo windy! Your da man to head out and fight the wind today.

SAVE the DATE: It's official. August 28th, 2011 The Perk Up Half Marathon. Remember I told you I had the oppurtunity to create a HM course? Well, I did and it's coming together and we have a date set. The Perkiomen Prep School has agreed to host the event. (Headmaster is a friend of mine:) The course will be a challenge since we live in a valley and have nothing but hills but it is a scenic run. Ron Horn will time the race and it will benefit the National Hemophilia Assoc out of Phila. We are meeting next week to finalize details and will start advertising soon. It's way cool!

Hawk - glad you escaped the snow and enjoy your trip in Oregon, it's always cool to run in new scenery. I am sure there will be other oppurtunities for you to get some snow this year.

Nothing for me today. I am not brave enough to go outside and I don't have access to the TM today. Oh well.

Apple very cool about the Half -- will definitely keep my eye out for it. That's my brother's b-day... maybe I can get him to come up for a birthday race...

Hey all, and thanks for the birthday wishes. Yeah, it kind of sneaks up on you doesn't it? Oh well, I feel pretty much the same as a day ago, so it's all good.

Normally I do a special "birthday long run" but I kinda ended up doing that yesterday...so much for the easy run I said I would do. I ended up going a total of 13.66 miles with several fartlek pickups thrown in (5-5-4-4-3-3-2-2). Oh and it was in a driving rain. Plus Monday is my normal rest day, so...maybe I'll just chill today.

Apple - that sounds pretty cool about the race. Who knows...could be a good prep race for fall marathons...

NIce job with the 8 Loopy and speedwork BBS/Dave. Those plyometrics are tough but they'll definitely get you stronger, Kevin. Sorry about all the shoveling, gretriever. And enjoy the rest day, Dan.

Five on the treadmill for me today, would have gone outside but forgot my jacket. Just as well, kept it real easy. Throat still a little scratchy but doesn't look like it's going to be a full-blown cold, whew. Yoga on tap for tonight, and rest day tomorrow.

Dave - Nice five, good to see you getting back to it

Loopy - Nice 8, how is the footing on your path these days?

Dan - rest up!

gretriever - sounds like a workout to me

BBS - good for you setting up a plan, I'm finding the 5k stuff a nice change after marathon training

kfuller - way to go on the plyometrics

Apple - congrats on setting up the 1/2, sounds like a nice one.

Hawk - nice run yesterday & enjoy the vacation and b-day
