Morning

Hope everyone had a good Christmas. Our house Looks as if someone did...

I am about to head to work.... which does not feel right at all. I hope I will be able to snag a 5 miler on my way home this evening. Then I'll have the crosstraining of cleaning our house and burning/hauling off Santa's box mess he left.

BBS - working today? That's rough. We were lucky in that most of the damage was done at the inlaw's. However; DD is determined to make our little house as cluttered as possible...

Can't decide whether to run, cross train or rest. Probably should cross train and do some strength and core work. I need to get in 50 miles this week to at least try and stay on track - this seemed a lot easier a couple of years ago.

Morning!

BBS -- Just think about the triple time.

RA -- Light reprimand for the 7.7. At least it's numerically alliterative. GJ. And I hear you re the ridiculous aging thing. Seems like we finally get all this figured out, and the body goes to caca.

Me -- Gonna have DW time me for 1000 yards in the pool. This is all per the "Prep" phase of my HIM training. Frankly, it doesn't feel like "prep" training. It feels like training.

Happy Boxing Day gents.

I'm just stirring to life after sleeping 11 hours. I think the whole month of December - the job stuff and the rush to Christmas - finally caught up with me last night. Santa's big delivery to me - a new bike trainer. I have no idea why he thought of that one. Anyway this would normally be a rest day but I just might have to set it up and you know, give it a little test drive.

RA - that core stuff seems to get more important with age, unfortunately.

Chances - GL with the TT

BBS - hope the post-work 5 happens.

Ended up running. Go figure. Finished with exactly 6 miles. Pushups and core afterwards. I would have worn shorts again, as it's still around 40F, but the 23 mph wind made me change my mind... hello wind chill (in one direction).

Chances - I'll have to ask DW how fast she swims 1000 in the pool. As a reference, she does her HIM open water swim in ~34 mins, which is ~15 mins for 1000 yards. I think.

Hawk - enjoy the trainer. I should really get my road bike on our trainer and ride in the attic. However; I should really do a lot of ther things that may or may not actually get done. :)

kfuller - I smell a streak of 5'ers coming along. DW got me English beer and biscuits (cookies). Certainly enjoying those...

Went for an early afternoon spin. At home not even a blade of grass was moving. Got to the start of my ride and it was stupid windy. Go figure. Tried a new route as the old easy spin route is good only for testing to see if ones fillings are still good. New route will do, but it is slightly shorter. 16.47miles.

This was my last workout in Ohio for this year. Tomorrow I leave for North Carolina. Can. Not. Wait. We'll have one short session tomorrow night. Full day sessions Wed, Thurs and Fri. Then drive home Sat. Doubtful I'll get home early enough to get a workout in Sat. Planning on running Wed and Thurs. We might actually get a church group run thing going! Very much looking forward to gettting away. BY. MY. SELF!!!

Good Day, all.

Time to start working off the extra carbs. The wind found its way to New Hampshire as well, so it felt a lot cooler than the 37 or so the mercury read. I got in three miles, and could have added another but it was a rare day the whole family was home so I bagged it.

Good runs, all
