Welcome back Alex - Hopefully you logged a few miles on vacation as we are on the same VRAA team

12.5 miles this am with 4x.8 @ I Pace with .4 recovery - Today I picked 11.0 MPH and 1% incline for I-Pace - Ran out of time or I would have done 6 intervals.

Good running to all -

7.5 jet lagged miles. Definately not one of my better runs but its done and maybe just maybe I can talk the kiddies into taking a nap with me this afternoon. I just got back from Las Vegas-running on the strip was definately interesting. Between having to run up and down the stairs to get to the crosswalks on the strip to getting burned by a cigarette passing a drunken crowd I am definately glad to be back in the suburbs! Have a great run everyone!

Back from 2 week vacation. 6 miles at lunch today. Cloudy and 75 degrees. I ran a lot on vacation - basically everywhere other than Glacier National Park (too afraid to surprise grizzly bears). Best run - Watford City, North Dakota. After 5 minutes, I was outside the 'city' and surrounded by beautiful rolling farmland. Honorable mention - Ocean Shores, Washington. 7 miles along a deserted beach. Best hills - Seattle (Queen Anne neighborhood). Worst run - Portland, OR. It wasn't all that bad, actually. But the 'path' along the river was only 3 miles.

Arrojo where were you? I just got back from vacation out in Montana and spent a few days in Glacier, but never actually ran "in" it, but I did do loads of hiking there.

8 mile deathmarch in 88* with 62% humidity. Sweated 4-5 lbs and still feel roasting after taking an icy shower. Yuck...

7 crappy miles. Feeling sluggish after my vacation. This is the "long" run I didn't do this weekend. Had to stop partway through to feed the baby, and despite mr jebba's best efforts, I could hear him fussing in the other room the rest of the time. Miss Sushine came in and tried to talk to me for the last three miles. "Are you done yet?" every 30 seconds. I was starting to get 'mill rage. But now I am glad I am done, and Miss S is sitting in my lap as I type this. She says she's tired, too.

I hiked up Mt. Nittany, then hiked the white loop at the top, about 4.75 miles total, if you can believe the sign at the trailhead. The views weren't worth much, since it was so hot and hazy, but at each overlook, a lovely cool breeze came rushing up over the side of the mountain. Very refreshing!
