Basic daily run today. Don't feel too bad from yesterday's race. I'll be in Utah the rest of the week. I wonder if there are good places to run. Hope so.

6 mile run at long tempo pace. Splits and HR were as follows:

7:06 - 157
7:09 - 161
7:09 - 164
7:11 - 167
7:06 - 170

I felt pretty good...which surprised me after the long ride I did Saturday on virtually no training, and no build up to it. I was worried I'd still be sore and have no turnover, but I felt pretty good actually.

Have a great day everyone!

I started working out again. I signed up for a marathon January 15th. It will be the first marathon I trained for since 2006, I'm excited. But this is week 1. I ran 3.5 miles :) Then I swam 3000m, it nearly killed me!

Came back from 11-day trip to Northern CA - Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Sequoia, San Fran, Napa, and Sacramento - early Sunday morning. Did lots of hiking, one run. Had a great time, thanks again for the info/suggestions some of you provided!

12mile run on Sunday, for Bonnie/Gustav. Today was recovery 5 miles. Phew, it will take a while to get back to the daily running.
