What is this "fall" you speak of Millbot? Same old h&h down here. Hadn't run since Fri morning. Starting to get edgy so out early for 5.75 miles avg pace of 7:35. Looks like hurricane Dean is going in south of us for now.

Rest Day for me!!

But i didn't log yesterday. So for Sunday I did 6.3 miles in 1:10:53. Continuous run it seems that i am officially off the run walk thing. Also I have been out at least 4 times a week for a month so far. My average pace has dropped from 12:06 to 11:05.

I am actually starting to feel like a runner again.

Good Runs to all.

Peace

Just back from a 5M recovery run. HR below 140! (139).
Felt good. Calves just a little tight.

(thinking of DaveinAA. any updates there?)

Finally I feel a little better about my training. I wa actually motivated today to take a "recovery" day instead of a "rest" day.

Ilene, you crack me up. "never underestimate the power of a boobie hug"

I took the day off work, so I got in 8.5 miles this morning before it started getting too warm. The nice cooler temps and rain yesterday were so nice - but now it's back to typical southern oregon summer.

Shortly, DS and I will leave for a day of shopping (school shopping for him), a few errands for me and a dentist visit for him (sealants). Hard to believe school starts in 2 wks. summer seemed to fly by for me, but he never wanted to be out of school as it was, so he's very anxious to get back into the school groove.

have a nice day all!

Yes, what is this fall you speak of, millbot? We haven't had summer yet!

Hi, Pro. Nice run yesterday. ksrnr, glad Dean isn't coming your way. Great improvement there, Roadhawk, over the month. Sure, Sal, you deserve that nap! Boobie hugs ... snork! Terrific run, Tammy!

Mrs. Labduck, will I see you this weekend? It'd be nice to have a brew 'n' yack!

I pulled out the old Polar HR monitor, something I bought years ago to try to motivate at a time when it was lacking. I don't know anything about what my rates should be, but it read avg 131 for an EZ run.

I can't wait to hit the road!

Ahh, the boobie hug. That would explain why my foot feels considerably better today!

Thanks Ilene. That's why I worship you.

Boobie Hug? I think we need a photo of this...

Cool and smoky here... canceled my run this morning because of it. I can even smell smoke inside our building. Or maybe it's my imagination. Ugh.

Will stop at the gym on the way home.

Ah ... Ilene, I hurt all over, head cold, sore throat, several other places too.

Good afternoon/ evening to all. 7 1/2 easy miles in the woods this morning.

Had to go to Medford earlier today where I had lunch with Rindaroo. (She says "hi" Tamster, but that's all I'll report as to our lunch conversation )

I acutally intended to purchase a Garmin today, but the running store in Ashland doesn't carry them and when making major purchases, I try to support small business instead of chains / big box stores, etc. I did get a new pair of extremely light weight running shorts to debut at H2C this weekend.

Congratulations Road Hawk on the 1 minute pace drop

Now to try to make a living.

Good evening!

I got to meet Dr. Dale and his son tonight at a little local 2.6 mile cross country race. I recognized him from his Mt. Washington pictures!

The weather was good for a race - cool (65ish) and cloudy. I think the course record was broken tonight with a mere 12:02. I saw Dale at the beginning of the race bolt through the crowds and never saw sight of him again until after the race - he's one speedy doctor! His son did very well too!

I've never been below 17 before and didn't expect to come close this week as my worst time ever for this course was 2 weeks ago at 17:51! So, when I crossed the finish line and stopped my watch, it said 17:00.09 . . . My official time was 16:59 - yippie - a 2 second pr .

So, it was a nice way to finish up the series and get to meet Dale too.
