Rest Day for me too!!

But i didn't log yesterday. So for Sunday I did 6.3 miles in 1:10:53. Continuous run it seems that i am officially off the run walk thing. Also I have been out at least 4 times a week for a month so far. My average pace has dropped from 12:06 to 11:05.

I am actually starting to feel like a runner again.

Good Runs to all.

Peace

Well, after resting up yesterday after Saturday disappointment (see report), I went out tonight for a 5 miler along Sandymount Strand. Didn't realise till I turned for home that I had a stiff breeze behind me on the first 2.5 miles, and I ran back into the headwind. Something must have been working, pride maybe, but even though I was running within myself, I completed the route in 37:29, some 45 seconds faster than I have ever done before -

Hopefully this has blown away a few ghosts, and seeds of doubt from Saturday - Here's hoping

Hi all,

Thanks for the shout-out Jen, Liam, and Ginger.

Nice efforts everyone! Keep up the great work.

Today is a scheduled off day from running. Tomorrow I have a 2-a-day with 6 miles bright and early and 4 miles tomorrow afternoon. Tomorrow morning is on pavement, tomorrow afternoon is on trail.

I hour recovery pace tonight. Sheer misery. It was still in the high 80s and as humid as possible. My stomach wasn't behaving well either. After 45 minutes I stopped in a local restaurant and begged for some water which they kindly obliged. I gulped it down and then put the ice in my bra. That helped.

At the end I was sopping wet and my tired legs felt a bit loosened. That's the main thing.

I'm surprised no one noticed this I did that during the Falmouth race, some spectators were handing out ice chips. Lovely!
