Good morning, TEAM LIT!

hobey: Hope you said hello to TASM for me! Despite a crappy busy time for you, sounds like fun with TASM and Bannon.

Feel a bit fraudulent starting a workout thread with my bumb knee... I'm a day or two away from calling the doctor. I may have torn one of the "CL's" -- ie ACL, MCL, PCL or at least a partial tear -- from what I've read. I'll give it a day or two more, as I tend to heal rapidly after several days. Already got my doctors lined up for a start. The knee has gotten more manageable but without noticeable healing. I can get myself up to a walk. The knee stretches out some to allow short steps. Stairs still tough. And I can even do a weak jog. I did enough this morning to keep the streak alive, but trust me, I bent the rules pretty far here for the streak, as I refuse to injure further. So please don't jump down my throat. And thanks for the good words and healing vibes over the last two days.

Great day, Tri-peeps!

We'll let it slide for now, Thor. Just don't let your knee talk to Bannon's!

Swam this morning. 2450y. Was able to get a few 100s down to 1:40-1:45 with some effort.

Bummer Thor. I hope it isn't anything serious.

Rest day for me and I REALLY need it. I had one of my toughest training weekends in a long time:

Saturday - 80.13 miles in 4:01:30. I averaged 19.9 MPH....just couldn't get the average up to 20 MPH, I blame the traffic lights and stop signs. FIB 30 minute run (averaged 8:01/mile). A great day of training, I felt really good!

Sunday - 45 minute ride at 100+ RPM, FIB 1:30 run (10.85 miles). I felt pretty good, averaged around 8:20/mile, didn't try to push it too hard because I was sore from Saturday.

Have a super, duper awesome day everyone!

I'm gonna get my ass kicked in Pilates today.

After a weekend of loading a dumpster, pulling down plaster, tossing heavy bags of plaster out the window and then going back for the lath, I'm fried. I can't believe that the IM is only 2 weeks past, but yesterday, I felt it while I was doing stuff. Unfortunately, this is something I needed to get done and other than some drywall, the majority of the heavy lifting is done, for now. I'm just not sure how my back and legs will hold-up to pilates tonight.

PS, we load a dumpster next weekend, too :)

Heal up Thor.

Need to start getting my runs longer now to get ready for HIM. Did 11 miles (longest since my April marathon and it showed). Finished at 9:21 pace though... little slow there.

Thor, hope the knee gets better, sorry to hear about it. I have been out of town for the weekend for some golf and lake swimming. Got back to the gym this morning and continued on my dumbbell workout which is pretty good.

Welcome Phdatc -

Hoops at lunch for me. Otherwise an easy day (had a couple of medical appts that killed the AM).

Decent weekend of swimming for DD12 to finish up the summer. Finished with three 1sts in her division, and two 1sts and a 2nd overall with her races (both divisions combined). She was beaten in the 200IM, but got revenge in the 50 Fly by .01 seconds (positively Phelpsian)

Swam the 50 free LCM (32,80), 50 fly LCM (34.58), and 200 IM LCM (2:56.79), and two relays (both 1st in division and 3rd O/A both divisions combined). Had a 2 second cut in the 200 IM; .4 in the fly; added a skosh in the free.

All-in-all, a satisfying end to the summer swim season - and a well-earned month off for DD and both parents.

Heal-up Thor.

Sparty - congrats on the new job!

Me: Strength training later on today after taking boys to the lake. Maybe I can get in a short OW swim.

Very short RR from yesterday's New London Sprint Tri.

Was slightly slower on the bike and run from last year and faster on the swim. Drinking too much wine at Saturday night's dinner party is not a recommended pre-race fueling strategy. I got out of bed Sunday am on the woozy side but went ahead and had fun anyways.

On to the Timberman sprint in 2 weeks!

Swim: .25 in 8:13 1:52/100 yd

T1: 2:08

Bike 6.7 miles in 21:38 15.8 mph/avg

T2: 1:06

Run 3.1 miles in 32:47

Shit Thor! I'm really hoping it isn't what you suspect. Take it easy and in this case, let the streak die just so you can get healthy.

forgot my running shoes. moron.

Monday I was supposed to do a hard ride/run but I couldn't bring myself to pay $25 for 70min in the workout room, so i ran 20min z1 to get the feet used to them (different style and no custom orthotic!) and then later in the day I swam 2200m in the pool doding kids and practicing my sighting skillz (bikinis)

then went and shot a M249 SAW fully automatic machine gun, an M16 (fully auto), and an M9 pistol. Ohhh yeah!
