Wow almost May already...another month that has flown by.<br><br>
Meet tonight and I am in the 4x800m relay and the 2 mile. The very beginning and second to last event so I have a nice rest period this time. Tomorrow is another meet and it's at home so crappy track but actual fan support for once.<br><br>
Have a great day.<br><br>

Good luck at both meets Alex - I have no computer @ Home - So I did not post any runs this weekend.<br><br>
12 miles with 5x1 mile @ LAT with .25 rest in the 2nd half of run. Current LAT = 6:00 = 1% incline - Yes it was a TM run.

No...my run was not on a treadmill. I ran 8 miles in the park today and just loved it! The runner's high kicked in early and stayed for the entire workout. I was just floating around out there, enjoying this beautiful morning.<br><br>
I hope that yours go just as well.

BTW - It was 50F this am with no wind - Yet the TM called and I answered the call. I am down to 1 or 2 runs a week (Out of 12) on TM.

threshold run. <img alt="sad.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/sad.gif"><br>
I really stumbled at it. I thought 9.7 mph would be somewhat comfortable, but 9.6 was hard!! I would blame it on the wind but Flounder said there wasn't

Grizzly, I'm pretty excited about your race next weekend. (Easy for me, I'm not the one who has to run the darn thing!) I'll be sending out some positive vibes to the north this week. Let's hope that Alex and Flounder don't intercept them all.

Merci.<br><br>
It was a good (not great, but good) weekend of running. Now to simmer down and not overdo it.

Last day of April<br>
First day of Pfitzinger/Douglas 18/70 program.<br><br>
So far so go. No run today. Today the schedule calls for cross training. So tonight I'll do my other exercise routine (a lot of abs work).<br><br>
Tomorrow the real fun starts. Actually, more likely Saturday the fun starts, when I try to do the 5th day in a row. ::CROSSES FINGERS::

I know many of you will know me as a runner, but in recent months that has been a false claim - Weight up to 200lbs and running averaging 15 miles a month - not even ticking over - BUT<br><br>
I am planning on running Philly in November, so the training starts here and now. Maybe the new site will get me shifted. So today, I went to the gym. A few machines and 2 Km in 11:02 on the treadmill - Hey! It's a start <img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif"><br><br>

My MIL fell last night and broke her hip, so no running for me today as I was up all night in the hospital. I did however fit in a 20 minute exercise video this PM with my 18 mo old daughter providing most of the extra weight when she sat on my bellly as I was doing my reverse crunches, and my back as I was doing pushups, lol.

I am still on the treadmill, but my runs are getting longer: 30 min/3.5 miles this evening. Then I did 30 minutes/8.3 miles of "biking to nowhere."<br><br>
This morning I did yoga with my class, too.<br><br>
Alex -- good luck at the meet!<br><br>
Grizzly -- you're getting close!<br><br>
jebba -- you rock mama!<br><br>
Liam, way to get motivated for Philly.<br><br>
Amethyst, sorry about your rough night.<br><br>
Good efforts today, all.

You will always be a runner in my mind Liam!<br><br>
2 miles easy for me. Just shaking the legs a bit after yesterday's cruise intervals. Tomorrow will be a bit more mileage with a couple at goal race pace. I don't know about you Griz, but I'm getting a bit antsy.

No meet tonight, coach messed up something or the hosting place did so I guess we weren't even on the roster.<br><br>
Well practice today angered me so much...coach is acting all R-tarded again. No meet so he thought we needed a nice quality workout even with our meet tomorrow and Thursday. It was a bit windy and rainy outside but nothing too bad, but of course we needed to run inside. Mile warmup with like 18 laps around the basketball court. Shins already feeling the pain. Then we do 5 minutes of down and back sprints which I'm guessing is about 70 or 80m each time. The recovery was waiting for the other group to get back so about 20 seconds. Then we had a 5 minute break and I was fuming so I bolted outside for a run around the block. 4 minutes and a little bit more calmed down I entered and ended up getting like an 8 minute break. Then another 5 minutes of sprinting. 1 minute rest, and final 5 minutes. I just got more and more agitated at how ridiculous our coach is...how will this help the distance people at all, especially being that nearly all of it was anaerobic? I don't think we need to be peaking anytime soon with Regionals/Sectionals still about 3-4 weeks off and with him whining about our lacking endurance all the time.<br><br>
Well tomorrow I'm stacked with the 4x800, 1600, and 3200. There is no competition but I will try as always to run great races and nab a PR in at least one of the events.<br><br>
