Fishbowl this morning. Wasn't really game for an early morning workout. Got stung by a bee while riding on Saturday. By last night there was a good 3-4 inch welt, so in an attempt to get that under control I took benadryl. That stuff messes me up but good. Didn't even help the welt any either. But, I'd rather head to the gym feeling bleck on a Monday than have to deal with the crazy lady on Tuesday. 2500m of splish splashing.

Little rainy here this morning, too, but light wind so not bad for 6.5 on the trails.

I went for a short bike ride with my girls yesterday. Was hoping for another one today but it looks like storms are rolling in. Hoping to get out tomorrow for something easy.

Rest day. Feeling all messed up. Headache (sinus I think) plus more acts and pains that I can throw a stick at. Good job I have a marathon to run on Saturday.

zrun - nice work on the trails

BBS - hope you can squeeze one out later

4boysmom - Were you floating through the water? I can't recall the last time I was stung but remember that it sucked. Was bitten by a spider when I worked in Texas - you should have seen the size of that welt. I thought my arm was going to fall off.

Morning all,

It's warm around here with storms a possibility as well. I packed a bag for a workday run but don't have any set workout plans. I could do an easy 5 or so, or I could just take a rest day. Calves are little tight after the weekend so we'll see. Key race coming up this Sunday...Broad Street Run in Philly so this will be a fairly light, taper type of week.

Sounds like heavy rain is in store for many of us. Hope you can get whatever you plan in despite the weather.

Good morning everyone. I got out for 6.2 miles in 51:05(8:14). Today was 5 X 5 minutes. It was tough and the numbers were not quite what I wanted.

7:02; 7:33(on an incline); 7:05; 6:53; 7:19. The last one finished on an incline and I was just ready to be done. Anyway the run is in the books.

Have a great morning everyone.

Hey all - nothing for me today except work & then a funeral for elderly uncle. Plus found out this morning a good friend of mine passed late last night. One of those "hard to believe" stories of wasn't feeling good Thursday, in hospital by Saturday, coma by Sunday and then gone. We are being told it was a liver infection.... So I am feeling lost today.

I am looking forward to my run tomorrow to help process it all.

Hi everyone. It's threatening to storm here, too, so I ran indoors. I guess everybody else had the same idea, so it was crowded, I was a good girl and limited myself to 30 minutes, then got on a stationary bike for 15+ minutes. I was also up this morning for a p90x workout.

OK, so I decided to go ahead and kick out a little recovery run at lunchtime. 6 miles all told. Felt more like summer than spring out there; ended up peeling off my shirt with a mile to go. Kept it all easy though and now that's a wrap.

No summer weather here. I think we are in trouble. The last time we had decent weather was on April fools day and weekend. Since then rain, snow and now again tomorrow the mountains are suppose to get a foot plus of snow and possible some here. Then we have too much snow in the mountain for this time of the year. If it gets too warm really quick it could be some bad flooding. So tomorrow may be a rest day if it is cold and such.
