Good morning all.

Did my 10-mile mountain road run this morning. I did 20 miles yesterday, so took it nice and slow today. Was misty for most of the run with some steadier rain in the last couple miles. Actually felt very refreshing...

Recovery run for me this morning. 50* and drizzle. Opted for shorts and long sleeves and that was perfect. Long 8 at 9:00pace. I'll take it.

Good morning everyone. I got in 5 miles in 41:05(8:12). The last 2 miles were 7:56 and 7:37. It felt good going that fast today.

Dave, 4bm, loopy- Nice job on the running and biking.

Dan- enjoy the rest.

Dave- nice brick work this morning

not much happening in the woods this morning. Had some critter walk under me but it was still too dark to make out what it was. Recovery 5 here in a little bit, then I'll hit the woods again this afternoon after a little nap

Scheduled rest day. Good job too as I didn't sleep well. Plus I had to clean up the mess some raccoons made of our garbage. Who'd have thought that dirty diapers would be so appealing?!

BBS - happy hunting. Feel free to swing by my place and take out some critters.

kfuller - nice job on the faster finish

zrun - are you as bendy as Gumby?

Dave - nice brick. Not sure that 8:17 is recovery pace but it's all relative.

Dan - Rest up. So, you have an amphibious car? Cool. My car is making a rather disturbing metallic squeaking sound so may be in the same boat. I'm sure, whatever it is (I'm thinking brakes), will be expensive.

4boysmom - nice job on the somewhat lengthy, somewhat wet recovery run.

Loopy - so 80mpw yet?

Nice workouts today. And some well deserved rest, too.

I was up early for a legs and back routine. Then after dropping DD off at school, I took DS in the stroller for an easy 3.6 miles. We stopped at the playground, and about .4 miles from the house, DS used his balance bike, which I had crammed into the back of the stroller. It took us 23 minutes to go the .4 miles, but he loved it.

Yeah, relative effort. I need to break out my HR monitor to make sure I'm not doing something stupid during taper.

Hey everyone, just a flyby for me. Work is crazy today and probably will be all week. I'll check in when I can.

Rest day for me today. Did 8.5 last night and finally feel pretty normal again (re: post-race soreness from last week).

Heyyyy, nice running in here today!

Okay, so last Thursday I had a 10 mile run with [email protected] but never ran the tempo miles. I ran in the afternoon in 92* plus heat and slogged through the 10 miles. Saturday I had a long run of 22 mi planned and the only time the babysitter could come was in the afternoon. More 90's heat and this time I slogged through 10 miles even slower than Thursday. Oh well, right? WHat can you do? I took Sunday off, regrouped and headed out today in the rain. 8 miles at an 8:19 avg pace, I started easy, progressed down to HMP and then climbed back up to easy. I hope this heat is DONE!!

RA- you got any kin in southern IL? There is some of the best deer hunting in the country there

5 recovery turned into more of a cruise run. Avged 8:20, which is exactly GMP. Felt pretty darn good but my quads were reminding me of Saturdays 15

sitting in the deer stand now hoping for something to come my way
