Overwhelming case of the lazies this morning. Slept in. Now will have to run 10 miles in the heat of the evening. ugghh

Tammy - to add to my answer from yesterday. Yes the course is beautiful but I seldom see any of the course while I'm racing. Takes too much concentration for me to stay in the race. I did take a few peeks during the OKC marathon and saw some nice scenery.

This weekend is father's day. We are meeting son, DIL, and DD in S.A. for the weekend. Plans include dinner out Fri with a movie, breakfast at an old flour mill/restaurant. Tubing on the river in Gruene, TX. And finally dinner on the River walk before we head back home Sat. night.

Sleepin in....what's that? I wake up when it starts to get light or when the cat decides it's time for me to get up. ...........4 miles in the woods this morning in nice conditions (hi 50's, shade, & dirt), much better than yesterday's 7 miles in town at noon (80, sun, and asphalt). I guess I forgot about that when I complained about the hills around here.

You're right Johnny - ONP is my backdrop. Not tonight though - gray skies and clouds obscure the peaks, windy and 50-ish as I head out. See ya!

MTA: Mother Nature LOVES me! The gray cloud blanket retracted to the near horizon and I had blue skies overhead and sun in my face for my run tonight. Still windy and 50's, but everything looked brilliant! Lots of yellow finches out. Pink rhodies and brilliant lupine blooming in front yards. It was 6 miles of perfect at a 10:23 avg pace.

Hey Johnny,

We kind of lost interest in the Heat over the course of the season. Apparently nobody in Miami including the head coach seems to want Lebron to be the star so they have him set a lot of screens and be a "decoy" whatever that means. Besides standing over by the sidelines while his teammates turned the ball over all the time, he only had the ball in his hands a small amount of time during the games. It is pretty unbelievable they took the ball out of the hands of one of the best playmakers in the history of basketball and turned him into the 3rd and sometimes 4th option in the offense. By the end of the season, he was so tentative, he really didn't even know what he wanted to do with the ball. Instead of highlights every game, there were only a handful of times during the season that he was exciting to watch.

I finished up my roofing job today and the numbers came in at 1,600 lbs of roofing that went on and 2,960 lbs of old roofing that came off and went to the landfill.

That was enough workout for me so I didn't run or eliptical today. Planning on running tomorrow to see how the foot feels.
