Good Afternoon.

Very speedy run for you yesterday John! wowzers! I've been running my intervals at about 7 - 7:20 pace, depending on the length of the intervals, but not sure I could run 4 consecutive sub 8 miles. That's impressive!

I didn't run in our Shamrock run this past Saturday. My sons basketball team made it to the championship game, which was held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, so that took priority of course. It was a nail biting game - they won 13-10.

I got in a long run of 10 miles on Saturday, in the sun, wind and rain, then more sun. Glad I forced myself out the door on Saturday though because Sunday was crazy rain and storms. We've been w/o power now since about 7:30 last night (although I'm at work today so perhaps it's come back on by now). The thunder rattled our windows so badly yesterday afternoon, that it was like a tornado was racing through the area. I've never seen our tall tall trees sway so much and still stay rooted. It was a sight - a very scary sight.

and then because we were without power, I relied on my watch to get us up this morning. But as I lay there in bed at 6:30 about ready to get up, I thought 'hmmm, it seems awfully light out for 6:30!". yep, . .. you can guess what I did, or didn't do, right? {sigh} it was already 7:30! got my son up and he was dressed, ate breakfast and ready to go in 15 minutes (see, I just KNEW he could get ready that quickly!). He was only about 10 minutes late to school. I was about 1.5 hrs late to work.
