After 1pm and still no daily?!?! Jeesh.

I was going to post yesterday but I didn't thin my measly 5 miler at EZ pace was worth mentioning. That was some stupendous running frens. Gobi, you are a monster. Laura, congrats on a tough 1/2. tw, sounds like a terrific w/o for you yesterday. Couldn't happen to a nicer dood.

7 miles today, with 5 x 0.5 mi + 2:00 rests. Fast parts: 7:24, 7:18, 7:18, 7:11, 7:09

Ok so where has everybody been hanging out lately. Y'all trying to lose me, aren't you?!

Didn't Erika run a marathon this w/e?

Did Ribs go over to the darkside (FB)?

Opie, I saw those clips on the utube thread. What exactly are you trying to demonstrate to your coach again?

Thanks Mike. I was wondering when this day would get started. . .

I just peeked at some pics of Erika and her race this week. Tim over at RA ran it also and posted some pics on his FB. Looks like Erika was right at home, lots of snow and all. I'm sure she was thrilled to travel that far to run in snow.

I've been off line for the last several days. And I got a message last night when I did finally boot up the computer that it's infected. So no more home computer until I can get that fixed. Got in a nice run in Portland this weekend. Until I moved to the country about 10 yrs ago, I've always been a city dweller. And being up in Portland for just my quick overnighter made me miss certain aspects of the city life. I wouldn't trade it for my more laid back and easy going lifestyle I have now - but it was nice to be back in the throws of some culture for a bit.

it's cold but sunny out there today, so will get in a run at lunchtime.

Hey Mike and Tamster,

Took yesterday off from running. Just ran/walked 2 miles this morning and knee went into rebellion. My half may have to be cancelled this weekend. Will take off till Thurs for some healing vibes to work.

I was busy working, and then running, so that's why I didn't post. 4 miles easy at lunch, sunny but cool so IRC since I had my gloves.

She's helping me improve my form. The initial feedback has to do with extending my stride ever so slightly without overstriding and becoming more fluid.

I have some great news. I got an e-mail today that I'm the state champion for the Brooks Inspire Daily race series. There were only 7 of us. I have no idea how it happened because I thought the 30-something woman in Tulsa had won. I get a free gear package, including a new pair of shoes. So of course I'm going to see about getting the Green Silence that way instead of paying for them!

And to answer your question from yesterday, Butterfly, we're working on beating my wings faster so the miles will come later.

Congrats Opie! That's exciting!

KS, i hope a few days of rest will improve things.

a very warm overdressed 5 miles at lunchtime. I did have a short sleeve shirt with me, but no shorts, so had to wear my running pants. fortunately, they are not too heavy weight, but I still was too warm out there today. it's probably upper 50's, maybe even 60 in Medford today.

Wow, Opie - that's really cool! Congratulations!

Mike - I like the fast parts. I can be that fast for, oh, not at ALL right now, but maybe 200' last week.

OM - wtg on the 15!

Tammy - I love that upper 50s is short sleeve and shorts weather, at least for running. Funny, but we were at DS2's baseball game Saturday evening, it was 70, but dry breeze from the north, and I was covered up in blankets, sitting still watching the game. Brrrr...

It is now officially KILLING ME that I don't know when I will run again.

I have an appointment with our family Ortho doc Wednesday morning. We have all seen him for different stuff. He's always smiling and is so cute, he could tell you, "We're gonna have to take that leg off.", and you'd just say, "Ok". If you're a girl, anyway.

Great runs over the weekend and today too

Hoping the pain quiets down soon ksrunr and you are back in the groove soon.

Wonderful news Opie! Congrats and makes for a nice Monday.

Ran 6 easy miles this morning, no watch, windy and blustery, but no measurable snow yet and that's fine.

Ran about 8 miles yesterday all in all including the Hot Chocolate 5k----5,000 total runners and walkers and the event raised $135,000 for Safe Passage, a domestic violence non-profit and shelter in town. Their goal was $100,000, so yesterday's news was a wonderful surprise for all. The day was made even better since ThePro came over to my neck of the woods and we did some running and brunch eating---catching up in real time. Great to see him as always!

Since I wear running shorts underneath my running pants, it makes me wonder what you wear. And I was looking for you Saturday morning in downtown Portland. I even ran the short bridge loop twice, but in opposite directions, just in case we were going the same direction on my first lap. Sorry I missed you.

RAW, seven or so, probably in running pants, and definitely in running shorts!

Hey Lab..... have your cramps gotten any better with the Mg?

MC, good thing you called that recovery. At that pace, I'd have chicked you!

5.4 ezpz miles on the snowy streets and park path mid afternoon, despite getting to work late 'cause of the snow. -5°C and breezy.

You know when you get in late, you have to leave early, because you just can't be late twice in one day!

Heme, I checked the supplement Mrs. Labduck has me take every morning, and it does contain Mg. My calf cramps seem to have reduced in frequency since I increased my Ca intake, but have not gone completely away. I got one Saturday evening while celebrating the Duck win. Do not ask what I was doing at the time...

8 miles tonight in about an hour. It was kinda cool to groove on all the Christmas lights. Some of the displays were damn impressive. Clark Griswold impressive.
