Good Morning,

Just another week of working for me starting today. Although I do get to work from home. I am starting week 3 of being in this stupid walking boot. I am so READY to get rid of this thing. I will find out on the 10th when I can stop using it. Hopefully that day!

Have a good day everyone.

Be careful of the walking boot Floridaboiler......I had one for a knee injury I had when I was in my early 40's. No problem with it......Fast forward about 15 years, used the same boot with another injury in my late 50's. The thing caused a leg length discrepancy and ended up screwing up my hip for a long while after the original injury healed.

Other than that....good luck

I was in a walking boot 3-4 years ago for an achilles injury. Hated it. They wanted me to sleep in it too but I didn't after a week or so.

Hi everyone. After a 9-mile week last week, I got in 2 M on the treadmill today (after 30-m elliptical), plus some time on the weight machines. My weight is creeping up--I hope I am building muscle from my regular time spent with the machines. I may go home early today and get in a January shirtless mile; the temp is supposed to be in the mid-50s.

Hi all.

Back to work after a nice long wknd. Well, it seemed long. I left work a couple hrs early on Friday and it's amazing what even having part of a Friday afternoon can do. just seemed longer for some reason. Got in a short run all three days with the dogs on our trails. Actually had a 16 mile week last week. Not overly impressive when I consider I ran 5 of those days though.

Johnny, saw your response about the RRHM. As the date gets closer, just let me know if you are around. It's a late start 10:00 a.m. and I'm at the turnaround point of the HM.

Rest day for me. But the weather for the rest of the week is looking decent for some RAL's.

Holy crow, PT..... I had no idea you were so far from home! I looked at where you are staying on Google maps and wasted a good half hour just looking around the satellite views of the city and thru various islands down in that part of the world. Fascinating! How long are you going to be there?

Hi FB, Johnny, KS, Tamster, FO!!

Glad to see many of you getting a bit more in these days.

Slacked of work a wee bit early and did 7 miles around the neighbourhood.... this time checking out one of the ritzy areas about 2 miles down the road from my office. Definitely this is Toronto's 1% territory, as there are plenty of new-ish faux French chateaus and Italianate villas, interspersed with the older style mansions and Frank Lloyd Wright -type "bungalows". While high fences and elaborate landscaping are definitely the order of the day here, a couple of home owners display a more off-beat sense of style. One had metal cartoon-type sillouette cut-outs of a family holding hands across the front lawn, with a couple of them holding Canadian flags. Another owner had a side lawn full of stylized rusty metal sheep sculptures.

Hi all....did my part to keep the medical profession happy today. Went to drs., got results of my yearly bloodwork (all good), got poked and prodded and pronounced good to go for another year. Went to the dentist & had the permanent crown put on. Finished it up with a sproinky 4 miler on the bike path.

I've got a couple of pink flamingos by my old satellite dish, Heme, not too far from a junked car........I'd fit right into that neighborhood.

Happy Monday everyone,

6 miles for me tonight.

Sounds like it was a good day for a tune-up, Johnny.

I had a biopsy of an area on the bridge of my nose this morning. Now I look ridiculous with a spot bandaid on it that doesn't blend at all with my skin color. Sheesh! It's probably nuthin', but will be nice to know that for sure.
