<p>Winter - send me a pm. The bowl in that pic is a salad bowl, probably about 12 inches in diameter and 9-ish inches high? I could be off slightly, that's off the top of my head.</p>

<p>More fun: a couple weeks ago I asked my 12y/o nephew, who is BIG into origami, to make me some mini cranes. After a few coats of varnish and some jump rings (which is more of a process than it sounds) I have some earrings!</p>

<p>Ok.  Other than that.  Things are going swimmingly well.  We had lots of rain and major wind yesterday which caused massive blackouts and traffic issues.  It took me an hour to get out of the city yesterday and trust me, Ottawa is a small city.  I could have walked it in 15.  Anyway, the end result is that this morning things are finally greening up.  I mean Green!  Wonderful!  Beautiful!  Green!  O. How I missed you.  </p>

<p>In other news, things with the guy have progressed quite nicely.  You could say (I know we are saying it) that we are dating.  A couple.  I'm stoked.  I still haven't found anything that I don't like about him.  He's not perfect, by any means, but whatever is not perfect about him so far, I accept. </p>

<p>Just so you know, I've been getting razzed at work by all the guys because, apparently, I'd been walking around with a goofy grin on my face and everybody was wondering what the hell was going on, until, Rob, my partner, told them that I'm seeing someone.  It's like being back in high school. It's all well intentioned and fun. Really, I can't blame them.  I'd do the same to them if I had the chance. </p>

<p>Plus, It's Friday!  How can one not be happy on a Friday!  I know.  I'm gushing.  I'll take my sappy happy self out of your way. </p>

<p>Fun: Vacay day.  Not fun: have to get my whole family packed for different destinations this weekend (except DH, he's on his own!), and I have to take DD to get her first filling.   I gave a slightly sneaky overview of the process last night when she was asking questions.  I'm hoping she's young enough for the gas instead of the shot, so I didn't explain the shot.  I just said she'd get medicine to make sure that the actual filling didn't hurt.  I hope this doesn't backfire on me!   I did promise her a manicure afterward if she cooperated and felt like going.   Mom of the year, right here!</p>

<p>I haven't seen any of the wedding stuff...I figured they'd replay it for months, so there was no rush.</p>

<p>I certainly didn't bother to get up early to watch the wedding.  My wife watches Good Morning America every day once she gets up, but that's usually right before I leave for work.  So the TV was on for a couple minutes before I left.  Whatever.  I guess I'm just annoyed that I didn't get invited even though (A) I'm related to the groom (very very distantly, but still!) and (B) we now share the same wedding anniversary.  <span><img alt="biggrin.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="width:16px;height:16px;"></span></p>

<p>Speaking of which, the kiddo will be staying at her grandparents' place tonight so that DW and I can go out to some grown-up place for the evening to celebrate our 11th anniversary...</p>

<p>I didn't sleep all that well, either.  I've had a sore throat for a week or so and last night it decided to morph into a gunky head.  My eyes look like "two pissholes in the snow" (as my dad would say, so lovingly).  Ah well, it's all good.  It's friday and I have a fun weekend planned!</p>

<p>Tomorrow morning there's a 5 mile race.  Then I'm taking my bike to the farmer's market for a free tune up.  Later on I'm going to my niece's Jack and Jill shower so there'll be dancing and such.  And I get to get dressed up nice. </p>

<p>FUN:  The project that I finished April 1st has finally been publically acknowledged across the CG agency!  An email went out this morning across the country explaining what the new systems are and what they do.  Yea! </p>

<p>Morning, friends.  I will admit to lingering over my cool down at the gym today so I could watch the balcony appearance and kiss.  I haven't seen anything before or during the wedding, and I still haven't seen a full-length view of the gown, but I also DVR'd everything so I'll get it later.  I've always wanted to be a princess, so I tend to get into these things.</p>

<p>Double-header softball game tonight.  Our first two games were rained out so these will actually be the first games of the season.  I haven't thrown a softball or swung a bat since last July so this might not be pretty.</p>
