Really minor in the big scheme of things. Amidst the pain and torture that is physio my one dreaded, feared moment is what I call the Electro-shock therapy to my shoulder. It is excruciating and I'd even call it exquisitely excruciating. This is surprising to my physio and to me because any other time I've used it for other ailments it's been relaxing, soothing even. She thought it might be due to nerve impingement so we tried it one way and then another, with heat, with ice, on my back, on my side. It hurt. I couldn't stand more than a minute of it (15) and even at low intensities it had me gasping.

Today she had me lie on my stomach for this and cranked it up until I felt something, 3 times the highest I've even had it, but I felt very little pain, I even fell asleep. I asked her if I could borrow the bed so that I could sleep like that from now on, at least I'd get some sleep...

Then there's the rack... it stretches the neck muscles to alleviate any impingements on the nerves. I fell asleep there. Okay, so maybe I'm tired, but the key thing here is that aside from the pain of the manipulations I was okay. Small steps.

I just really really really need a few hours without pain, that's all I ask.
