A woman would you date?

Some say the ideal age for a man is half his age plus 7.
(That would have me dating a 23 year old - Too young for me).

I'm dating a woman 5 years younger, and I was dating a woman 6 years younger before her. I'd say that's my cut off point though

unless a 21 year old is really really hot

I know a guy- I wouldn't call him a friend because he's an idiot, but he's 63, never been married and only hits on girls in their 20's. He considers everyone older to be too old for him. He thinks the number was backwards- It should have been 1/2 his age and MINUS 7 years.

Girls are really surprised when he does hit on them because it's just so creepy and unexpected.

My GF is 5 years younger than me. I didn't consider age too too much when looking for someone. I was more interested in finding someone who shared my goals and interests, and who could open my eyes to a few new ones. Since we began dating 13 months ago I've gotten her into running and she's gotten me into XC skiing and kayaking. We both like to bike, although I hadn't done a lot for a few years, but recently bought a new mtn bike so that we could both enjoy taking a spin. We both see retirement as something to work towards in about 10 years. So overall we're pretty happy with each other in spite of our ages.

Someday you will be in your 40's, and you will be glad that there are men in your age range who aren't only interested in younger girls.

IMHO-I think that women at that age have become more comfortable with their bodies, know what they want for the most part, and are willing to speak up to say so.
That said, Mrs. HOSS has always been hot and that has only gotten better in our 25+ years of marriage. WE will be empty nesters in @3 years and I can't wait>

I have a friend (former, might be a better term) who is 56 and firmly believes he shouldn't be dating anyone who isn't at least 3 years younger than his youngest daughter....who is 27.

I asked him why. He said it made him feel young.

...it also makes him look like a fool.

Chicks that young who'd go out with him generally want a daddy...real or sugar.

About 6 months after Mrs JC died my daughter took me aside and read me "The Rules".
She said that because I was really very physically active and seemed younger than my age it was likely when I was ready to start dating that I'd find a younger woman.

She said:
-40+ would be preferable
-under 30 and she'd see I lost body parts
-Younger than her and I was a dead man.

GF is 6 months younger than I am...PHEW!!!!

I was 33 when I got divorced from my first wife of 15 years. We had married very young and grown up to be very incompatible. But it was amicable.

So I had no idea how to meet women, I had been out of it for too long. I got dragged to bars by my single friends, but since I had quit drinking and am not a "party" type guy, that wasn't my scene at all. I was taking college classes at the time and working out at the gym pretty much every day. Long story short, the oldest girl I dated over the next two years was 26. Most were about 22. It wasn't a deliberate thing, just the way it worked out.

When I met Kate, who is now my wife, both of us guessed the others age badly. I thought she was about 24 and she thought I was about 28. She was actually 19 and I was 35. So we have a 16 year difference. She never had a problem with the age difference. I did for a while, but what the hell, we're happy.

well, what about women and younger men? BF is almost 4 years younger than me. When we met, I had just turned 25, he was 21.

Actually when we first met, I was going into my senior year of HS and he was about to be bar mitsvah'd.
