My feet are finally getting over their soreness. Gel insoles did the trick. Stupid to have forgotten to put them in the new shoes right away. Managed 41 miles for the week including a 30k race. A hilly course that I managed 2:40 and change on. About a 2 minute PR for the course. I was on pace for about 2:37 until my hammy cramped up during mile 15. My longest run until now had been a 15 miler. I counted the last two easy weeks as a sort of taper and decided to test myself with this race. About a B+. Pretty good run even with the cramping. It's Tuesday night and only a little soreness remains. I am thinking about a flat 30k this Saturday. But maybe should make sure I'm recovered before trying again.

Down one pound for the week. If I had weighed myself Sunday morning after the race I might have been down 2 or 3 more. At least I feel confident I can start putting in more miles without the pain.

Good luck everybody
