Hi gang. SR Lopez hates the term Boomers Anyway, c'mon in and take a look at the neat controls here. No ads either. Lots of smilie's and it's pretty fast.

Barb -

I'm simply Liam over at CR, added the 3494 here in homage to someone special. Fill you in some time.

Welcome to the Kickrunners site, and hopefully the gang from Boomers will come on over and test the water. I have been lucky to meet up with a few Boomers over the years, mainly in Philadelphia, and am looking forward to meeting more this year when I come over for the Marathon in November.

Feel free to ask anyone, anything about the site, and join in

I've registered here with my kewler handle, too. certaily seems to be easy to deal with. it looks a lot like the forum I use for my electrical side.

The poster formerly known as "kameele"

I think trainee is like memeber and cool runner at the Other Site.

Okay, so far I like this place. My friend duckgeek hangs here, the clock represents the real time somewhere on the planet, and they've got a duckie smilie...

ksrunr (formerly ksrunr) on Cr Checking the digs out. 7 miles last night at 6:30 pm. Still 90 degrees out with 95 heat index. Can Ribs fine us on this board? If we can spontaneously combust playgrounds in TX we ought to be able to complain about the heat without fines! 5.75 this a.m. @ 7:43 avg pace.

Hey everyone, don't know if you have checked around but if you go to User CP you can have a WYSIWYG editor so you can make things bold and underlined and colored or boldy colored and other neat stuff without typing in the html yourself. There is a calendar here too, if you opt to your birthday will be in there

Liam, thanks for the welcome, I've been over here for a while too, quietly lurking in PRT

Welcome Boomers.

Here's a quick primer on protocol here:

You can swear if you really need to. "\'Tis the shit.

Full race reports go in the race reports forum. The site admins like to keep things tidy and well-organized.

Group long-term planning threads are just fine to put in this forum, e.g. "Master's Chicago meet-up", etc.

Don't ask me to explain the 30's calendar.

Have fun, KICK the tires (or tyres if you prefer), be nice, always use protection.

Oh, another neat thing, Sticky posts and the mods can make a post sticky at will and are actually able to do more then delete posts and see IP addresses. How novel

Check out the Running Log Suggestions thread too. Get in your ideas now before it goes live!!
http://kickrunners.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=29

Gee a place that wants and will take suggestions what an idea

So how would it work if we move over here? The CR forum has the 50+, the 40/40, the healthy eating, the weekly, and the daily.

I can see where food and RRs would go - would we spawn a new daily here in "Running Clubs?"

I can't answer that, but would hope maybe that they would see a need and spawn off forums under the heading of Running Clubs instead of having us all use the same sub forum. Right now it looks like the 30's have the place pretty much to themselves.
