I made it down to Lynchburg. It's quite pleasant outside at the moment. I guess the cold snap comes through tonight. At least it is making my clothing decisions a bit easier. 40's is tough for me to dress for. 30's is not!

Well, it was cold but not that cold. I would say 25 or so in the morning, it probably got up to the high 40s during the day and back down to the 30s at the finish line. It really depended on what side of each mountain you were on, one side you would be sweeting then you would go over the top and freeze down the other side, mainly because of the sun. On the second half of the course there was even a little snow on the ground. A very nice day over all though. There were a lot of drop outs this year, not exactly sure why since for running it was actually perfect weather. I finished in 9:30:00. Its weird i cant get any better on this course. The last 3 years i have had 9:28. 9:30 and now 9:30 again. Very well put on race and great volunteers, if you have never done it you need to atleast once.
