This is going to be a short one folks: I don't run!

1. Why do you run?
I started running in high school. It should be noted that there is very little high school sport here, and no high school running. A lot of sports, including
track and field, is done outside of the school system. Since my best friend had started doing track (and was quite good at it), I decided to try. I stank.

But I kept at it, 5 times a week. Kept me out of troubles! At 16, I ran a 5K and finished 2nd in my age-group (I believe there were 3 of us) and a 10K. I had never ran more than 7 or 8 kilometers before the race but I managed something like 44 minutes. And I won a trip to Disneyland!

I quit running for a few decades after that (except for shortich end-of-summer base training for fencing) and started again around 2003, when I was living in France. I loved running on old roman roads, thinking that Ceasar had been there, looking at the Dover cliffs! I ran up to the day we moved back here in 2004 but didn't manage to get back into it when we got here.

A year later, my son wanted to do a 1k race, so I started "training". I got really hooked and ran for several months, 5 times a week. Up to 20 kilometers! I even did a race, a 5K in 25:08. But I got tendinitis in the hip in winter 2005 and even though I tried a couple of times to start over again, I didn't quite manage. Yet.

2. What is your greatest accomplishment?
Somehow managing to be a parent. It's hard, it's getting harder, but I haven't quit that yet.

3. What is your motto/theme song?
No motto. But I always had a song by Carla Bruni on my runs: La Dernière minute. It lasts exactly one minute, I used it to sprint a little bit.

4. How do you deal with bad runs?
I always figured I needed more sleep.

5. Do you reward yourself for good runs? How?
I just loved how a good run made me feel for a whole day after it.

6. Who do you admire most?
