I don't run all that much, huh?<br>
I do what I"m told...that's for sure....except when I'm travelling, then I do the best that I can.

Stitch beat me to it. <img alt="biggrin.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/biggrin.gif"><br><br>
Good month for me. I'm still increasing volume and introduced more LT hell/hill work (it's good for me or so I keep saying), I PR'd a 15K without setting out to PR, and I'm feeling the positive effects of a quality over quantity training plan. My plan last year focused on lower intensity volume, volume, volume over quality workouts and I did not respond well. About this time in the plan, I had to drastically cut back because I was beyond exhausted. So I decided to attack this season differently and it's working. I have loads of energy, I'm feeling stronger, and I'm confident.<br><br>
So for March:<br><br>
Swim: 14.6 miles<br>
Bike: 143 road miles & 5 hrs 20 minutes on the trainer<br>
Run: 67.7 miles

hobey....<br>
I'm finding that having someone else tell me what to do is helping me in similar ways.<br>
Up till now, it's just been swim/run repeat...with no variation in focus for the runs. I had a swim coach, so always felt fresh with that.<br><br>
I don't feel like I"m getting the miles that I did before, but I'm getting faster. <img alt="biggrin.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/biggrin.gif"><br>
Yay.<br>
Thanks, CS!!

I've finally started logging my workouts more religiously, so I guess I can post here <img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif"><br><br>
Swim 12 hours 32350 yds/18.38 miles<br>
Bike 12:45 trainer hours<br>
Run 9:45 ~ 57 miles<br>
Elliptical 1:30<br><br>
I've also been pretty good about doing my ab work 3x/week, but I have not been logging it. Need to do more upper and lower body strength work. Baby steps, baby steps.

March was awesome! I had a seven day pass to the gym so I got in the pool 4 times (all my yardage was the last 7 days of the month). I also got my bike trainer so got in some mileage getting used to that. My run volume was way up there with 3 20+mi weeks in a row. The big one though was all the strength training, yoga and stretching -- over 15 1/2 hours -- which is a really good balance. My goal was 10min / 1mi of running and I smashed that. Only sore-spot (pun intended) with March was knee issues that erased all planned speed-work. I kept the volume up though and credit all the stretching and keep the pace easy with preventing total injury.

A good month for me. I PR'd in two races (HM and 8K) and set myself up well for my A race. I had two, 25+ mile runs and spent a great week training in Tucson.<br><br>

March was essentially a wash for me. One week travelling for business, one week vacation, and it didn't leave much leftover. I ran about 40 miles, biked about 100, and swam about 5. Not what I wanted. I have high hopes for April. Actually, I have high needs for April. With 98 days remaining until IM Germany, I got to get back on track....

I am not sure on distance, here's the duration (<i>note: this is less than it looks like; because I'm moving very, very slowly these days with my fun low-intensities combined with my body not quite being my body.</i>.)<br><br><b>Walking</b> 1 hour, 40 min<br><b>Strength train</b> 8 hrs 15 minutes<br><b>Running</b> 11 hours, 19 minutes<br><b>Cycling</b> 11 hours 07 minutes<br><b>Yoga</b> 3 hours<br><b>Swimming</b> 1 hour<br><b><i>Total: 36 hours, 21 minutes</i></b>

March was my highest run volume ever. April will be much less as I taper for my May 4 marathon. I ran 3 races in March, 5K, 5 miles, 10 miles and PRed all of them. I'm toying with doing a HM this weekend or next, but will wait to see what the weather will be. All my races so far this year have been in poor weather and I can't get motivated to run a HM in poor conditions.<br><br>
My goal is to BQ the marathon and then focus on tri training for a few summer sprints and possibly a late summer HIM. If I don't BQ, I'll probably stick to my running focus and make another attempt in a few months.

Building up from essentially zero here, so the totals reflect that<br><br>
4450 yd swim<br>
45 mi bike<br>
62.8 mi run<br><br>
Had a lot of elliptical & walking time (2 hours each) but that decreased as the month went on as running built back up & I finally started biking again. I need to get to squeeze more swim time in there too. Happy about the strength training (7 times for the month) and being diligent about my core work & stretching.

My month started with my wife visiting from Canada, so very little in terms of workouts took place during the first almost two weeks. Thus, I guess that most of my monthly mileage comes from the later two thirds of the month. Totals (in metric):<br>
Swim: 18,300 meters<br>
Bike: 193.8 KM<br>
Run: 67 KM<br>
Strength/Yoga/etc.: 10 hours<br><br>
On the whole, a decent month, with a few exceptions. I also have high hopes for April. Got some neat stuff coming up soon.

Nice improvement over Feb. Almost twice as much time on bike and run. Added consistent long runs of 9+ each week.<br><br>
Happy with the progress.
