Morning Gang

First things first, let me thank you all for the birthday wishes yesterday, I was totally taken aback, it made my day. We went out for a small family celebration as in Italian last night and myself and MrsRoy will be away for a weekend to Brighton in the near future.

Out with the 305 for the first time, excellent. Mrs Roy and Woody were there as well.

Good morning everyone,

Very windy here this morning..good practice for Virginia Beach next week

13.25 miles of hills @ 9:08 pace. I broke 50 miles for the week today and I will taper a little next week.
I don't tend to taper all that much as my body tends to work better with moderately hard workouts...It must be all the hard gardening, working outdoors for the past 25 years...

A new pair of Hurricane 8's are on tap as my current one's have almost 500 miles on them....just in time

Good running to all today.

But I ran in the rain this morning. 4.5 miles in a light rain.
It's supposed to change over to snow this afternoon, maybe I'll get to do some snow-shoeing tomorrow!

Nice week, Peter. 500 is a lot of miles on a pair of shoes. Good luck next week.

I like snow too, and I'm glad my lawn is still dormant. I wonder if tomwhite can be irked at a running robot avatar?

Good morning. Nice runs, guys! Strange weather last night. At 3 a.m. we woke to hear strong wind pounding sleet against the windows; next, thunder and lightning (thundersnow). Now it’s snowing heavily again. JJJ, only a foot by the time it’s done. I love it today, tomwhite, but might curse it briefly tomorrow if the roads aren’t cleared for running. Otherwise I can wait on spring. It seems time passes by me so quickly lately; I don’t wish to fast forward anything. Not hating on you, ksrnr. You’re not killing any moss, are you? Time to shovel and ski.
eta: millbot, you'll have to slow down if we are going to run a 20 miler together.

Good morning, friends. Pouring rain here in NY today, but fairly mild. I went to the gym today and did the elliptical, and then 1 hour of yoga. My old body feels really good right now!

When I got home from the gym, I could hear DH in the basement on his stationary bike and one of the dynamic duo had left a big doody in the living room! I was mightily displeased and told them exactly what I thought of their lack of control. Evil doggies!

This afternoon we're off to Lowe's to select a new kitchen floor, counter, sink, fixtures, and new hardware for the old cabinets. Ka-ching.....that tax refund is never gonna see the light of day.

Have a good weekend.
Susan, planning to run tomorrow.

Rolled over and went back to sleep this morning after a restless night. I'll pay for that: I'll have to go out for my tenner in the afternoon sunshine. Mustang Colt has offered to bike alongside, which should be nice. On tap for this evening: Barber's Enchanted April.

This'll be a rest day for me, after a week of fairly hard (for me) cross training. Tested out the heel with a brisk 2 TM miles on Wed and am pleased to say there were no after effects. I plan to do a flatish 4 miler tomorrow before I resume the regular training, but am very hopeful the PF is pretty much history..... for now (fingers crossed).

We're in the middle of yet another big snowstorm, with about a foot expected before tomorrow. The 14 day is predicting below freezing temps continuing for a while yet. I NEED to get out in my garden SOON or I'm gonna scream!!! The pots of forced hyacinths can only do so much.
JJJ, got any new flowers you'd be willing to share?

10.25 miles for me this beautiful morning with a new running club. My first double-digit run since last July.

The gym I belong to is trying to start up a Saturday morning running group, so I said I'd join them today. It was an enjoyable morning, and although I ran much slower than normal for me (probably a good thing...), it was nice to run with someone again. Coincidentally, everyone who showed up this morning is also running the same race next Sunday.
