It's a good week. Lower mileage, but good overall. Had a rough trail half-marathon yesterday, which I slogged through in 2:04 and included one faceplant. But, fun nonetheless.

M- Rest

T - 4

W - 4

Th- 5.8

Fr - Rest

Total: 34.1 miles

Hope you all had good ones, too.

It was a challenging week for me last week...closing out the lengthy recovery phase from Wilson Bridge (9/19) and trying to ramp back up while work went crazy on me. I ended up only getting in 3 runs for the week, but 40 miles total. That tells you it all in a nutshell, doesn't it?

M 9/27 - rest (planned)

Tu 9/28 - rest (unplanned)

W 9/29 - 12 mile trail run in early AM

Th 9/30 - "hill" workout on treadmill, 6.25 miles total

F 10/1 - rest (unplanned...work again...grrr)

Sa 10/2 - long run, 21.6 miles

Su 10/3 - soccer match, played 45 minutes (~3 "soccer miles")

Hoping to roar back with a big week this week. I may even cap it off with a 20-mile race on Saturday, which I would do as more of a long training run than an actual race. If not that, I'll probably pull the road bike out again for another really long ride (at least 40). Still thinking it over at this point.

Good luck to zrun and everyone else who's tapering and getting ready to kick it out at Chicago on Sunday!

Hellllooo all! I think I forgot to post in our last thread but here I am! Last week was OK, although I'm still allowing work to intrude more than it really should. I'm also paying very close attention to one cranky heel (PF) and one sometimes cranky Achilles. Big milestone was hit last Sunday - crossed over the 2000 mile mark for 2010, my first time!

(((Johnny))) – oh man that sux. You’re doing the right thing getting it treated and healing up. There’s always another race.

CMJHawk – killer mileage on 3 runs! Glad you’re feeling recovered.

Swallen - no further probs w/regard to a stress fracture? I hope not!

FB - gonna have to go check out your RR, nice work!

M - 6 ez mi

T - 7.7 ez mi

W - rest

T - 8 ez mi

F - 9 ez mi

S - 17.12 mi including a 5K with Missy1102 (her first since giving birth 6 wks ago!)

S - 5 ez mi

Total = 52.82 miles
