QUESTIONS

1. Why do you run?
I have to. The exertion and rhythm are good for me. Running clears my head and my soul. Yeah. That sounds like a bunch of mushy philosophical doo doo, but there it is.

2. What is your greatest accomplishment?
I don’t really measure my life this way… I really do just try to be the best Roo (such that I am) every day. That said, I’m glad I learned how to cook a little. That’s a pretty big deal since when I was 17 I almost set the house on fire by putting a Round Table pizza box in the oven to keep the pizza inside warm. So yeah. Learning how to work the oven was helpful.

3. What is your motto/theme song?
Theme Song: Depends on the day and the context, right? On a bad day, its Mama said knock you out. Recently, Go Getta and Hate on Me resonate (though I like to pretend its Cyclone when I lace up my running shoes. But who’re we kidding, right?)
Motto: You get two for trying- My Mama

4. How do you deal with bad runs?
I hate them.

5. Do you reward yourself for good runs? How?
This Sunday, I had a wonderful run, a minute per mile faster than I typically run (which really, ain’t sayin’ much, folks). I just blabbered about it when I got home, holding up my Garmin like a trophy… However, after long runs, since I need to refuel I love a nice coffee drink.

6. Who do you admire most?
My folks, hands down. They decided who they wanted to be and what life they wanted to have and made it happen. I’d be nowhere and nothing with out them. For real. As an adult, I seek people like this to spend my free time with.

7. What is the greatest advice you have ever received?
Get as much education as you can, kid…- My Daddy.

8. What do wish you had learned younger?
When the manual on hand held beaters says to unplug the unit before removing the beaters… that’s no joke, man.

9. What do you wish you could do but can't?
Fly. Not in an airplane. Like Superman or the dude on Heroes.

10. How would your friends describe your personality?
I’m shy when you first meet me. Then when I come out of my shell, I’m pretty sure they’d like to shove me back in.

11. What do you wear running? favorite outfit?
I was just thinking about this. I’ve just recently come to the end of a very expensive journey without borrowing money to do it. Running gear has suffered greatly. I’m pretty sure I usually look like a homeless person when I run.

12. What has been your favorite race?
Jingle bell 5K. I got to run right down the middle of High Street in Columbus without ending up on the evening news. Plus I got to have Panera with Bard73 after….

13. Do you have a goal race right now?
Yeah. Athens HM (I’m sweating that a bit) I’m registered for the Madison Half and then I’m talking to my running guy now about the full in Columbus this fall.

14. What makes you happy?
Wait. I happen to have this documented and saved on my computer. Clearly, I’m easily amused… Please feel free to ignore, skim, or worry about how my thought process works, because this is a peek at it….
Hi Mandaroo! It's nice to get to know you better.

This is the second thread today that has made me think we should have a Columbus PRT meetup... I would love to meet you and Bard and 4boysmom and hang out with crazyeye some more and with some arm twisting, I bet we can convince DanQ (maybe he can carpool with Jenna and roots) to come.
