This is one of my favorite activities!! Our "giving tree" at my church collects gifts for the retired nuns at the Villa and I look forward to participating every year. Usually they ask for simple things like towels, stamps or writing paper, shower gels, and I always enjoy putting extra things in (including candy or homemade cookies!!) to make the gifts nicer!!!<br><br>
It really makes me feel good to share with someone who's not part of my immediate family. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Smile">

Our department adopted a needy family this year, so I headed out to Lowe's and picked up an oil-filled electric heater that the teenaged daughter of the family wanted.<br><br>
