Sorry a little late on this, but it's Saturday and I like to sleep.

1. Why do you run? I don’t have any great reasons like Theia- just started as young as I can remember because my dad was a coach and ran all the time. Started back up after college because I missed the competition (even if you can’t really call my placing “competing”.
2. What is your greatest accomplishment? I don’t like to ever think that I’ve accomplished anything, just makes me complacent.
3. What is your motto/theme song? This is a tough one because I listen to a lot of music. I’ll go with the first one that came to my mind (maybe because I happened to listen to it yesterday…) Roll on by the Living End. Not that their music is my favorite, I just don’t really dwell on negative things, and just kind take things as they come.
4. How do you deal with bad runs? Roll On…
5. Do you reward yourself for good runs? How? I’ll be glad for about a minute, then start thinking about tomorrow’s workout. I expect to run well, so I can’t get too pumped when it happens.
6. Who do you admire most? Guess I’d have to say my dad. Not only is he the reason I started running, he personifies a lot of the qualities that I find important. Incredibly hard working and tough, but still a caring person.
7. What is the greatest advice you have ever received? I’ve never really had a good answer for this one, but I heard a line that I really liked in a stupid movie. It wasn’t intended to be sage advice, but I think it’s kind of cool: “Better to die like a lion- than live like a pussy.” Bonus points for whoever can name the movie.
8. What do wish you had learned younger? The value of non all-out days. Might have been half-way decent in high school if I didn’t treat every run as a race.
9. What do you wish you could do but can't? I’m pretty perfect as is, so I guess I would have to say be more humble… Ok, seriously, it’d be nice to weigh anything near what elite runners do.
10. How would your friends describe your personality? If you haven’t figured out from my picture- a little bit corny. I wore that outfit to my first ever Vikings game in the dome (we crushed the Lions). Beyond that, pretty sarcastic and kind of a jerk.
11. What do you wear running? favorite outfit? Don’t really have a favorite- mostly I just wear cotton shirts from races, but since I’ve started training longer, I’ve learned the joys of less chaffing attire.
12. What has been your favorite race? I’d almost have to say the run wild in Troy last year. I had put together a little running competition with my family to get us back together at races again since we’re all out of college except my little brother. Even though this was a kind of small race, it was really cool for us to have the 3rd overall male and female, along with the age group winners in the other two categories. We all came away with hardware and they just kept calling “Locker”.
13. Do you have a goal race right now? All signs point to redeeming myself at Columbus10/18/08. I’ll have a lot of races in between including trying to defend my Locker Challenge, but that’s what it’s all directed towards.
14. What makes you happy? As I’ve alluded to earlier, I don’t really get too high. Sure I’ll be excited for a bit when my sports teams do well (Vikings, Buckeyes, Reds, Lakers WSU Raiders), but that’s kind of short-lived. I’m not trying to say my life isn’t good, just like to stay focused.
15. Tell us one interesting thing about you that you haven't said (at least not often) on this forum in the past. I’ve resolved that if I ever get on Jeopardy, I’m going to start casual Fridays and not wear a suit that day.
16. Tell us one interesting thing about another user of this forum that has not been posted (at least not often) on this forum in the past. Can’t really think of anything here because I don’t know a lot of you guys too well. Guess I’ll just say that I know 4boysmom is from a great state.
