1. Why do you run? I have never been remotely involved in sports. I was always the nerd. In school, they always emphasized team sports which just weren't for me. I discovered running as an adult and found I can be (relatively) good at it and get the individual satisfaction of doing my best. It also is my own form of therapy. I get off center if I don't run.
2. What is your greatest accomplishment? I don't think I've accomplished it yet.
3. What is your motto/theme song?
4. How do you deal with bad runs? They usually suck at the time and I get frustrated while they happen, but I don't normally dwell on them. I figure the next one has to be better. I also try to figure out what went wrong for me to make sure I correct it if possible.
5. Do you reward yourself for good runs? How? Not really. Honestly the satisfaction is reward enough (seriously!!)
6. Who do you admire most? My parents. They've done so much for us (siblings and me) and gave us such a wonderful, loving family life. We always know we are loved. I hope I can be half as good a mom to my (future) kids.
7. What is the greatest advice you have ever received? Do your best!
8. What do wish you had learned younger? To run!!
9. What do you wish you could do but can't? Couple of things- to paint/draw and to ice skate. I also have always wanted to write left handed!
10. How would your friends describe your personality? Probably as out-going, sarcastic, friendly.
11. What do you wear running? favorite outfit? Usually compression shorts or capris and tech shirt. My favorite tech shirt is one I got in France last year!
12. What has been your favorite race? Twin Cities 10 Miler. First race I did longer than 10K that showed me it really *isn't* that far! Plus, it was a beautiful city with beautiful weather!
13. Do you have a goal race right now? Madison, WI HM
14. What makes you happy? Being at the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris.
15. Tell us one interesting thing about you that you haven't said (at least not often) on this forum in the past. Can't think of anything I haven't really shared (at least that's interesting) , but I hopefully plan to move to Europe next year. Been a dream to live there since I was a kid.
16. Tell us one interesting thing about another user of this forum that has not been posted (at least not often) on this forum in the past (make sure the other person will not object to posting the info!). That's hard! No idea!!

Nice POTD Beth!

I'll vouch for how really cool she is. In fact, I wouldn't have found the neatest lil' coffee shop in Columbus if it weren't for her

Thanks for the nice comments everyone! Makes a girl feel special....

I don't know where I will end up in Europe yet. I have a friend in Spain who is teaching in an English school (for adults) there, so the plan is to start there..... I will begin my TEFL certification this spring. (Teaching English as a For. Language) I speak French, German and Spanish, so most anywhere in W. Europe will do. Working some contacts in Switzerland at the moment, too. I will probably start out teaching in Europe and then see what else there is (would really rather be in tourism of some sort). The plan is to go for a few years and then re-evaluate things. I know I will miss my family big time, so who knows.

And you are ALL welcome to visit! We'll go for a run or something!
