Yes Bama missed a bunch of field goals but they were also at home. So that should even things out. LSU has a great great defense, a great coach and a good enought (no nothing special) offense to make it work. They should win out, meaning there they are in the title game, no I do not want to see them play Bama again. I want (as does the media) to see them play Stanford and the Heisman Award winner Andrew Luck. That would be ..the...game for 2011.

As we know we need....

Oklahoma to beat Oklahoma State which is a very real possibility. Okla State has no defense. Stanford has to beat Oregon, which won't be easy. No team in America (not even the NFL) has the speed the Ducks possess at tailback. In Thomas, Barner and James we see three sub 4.4/10.50 guys. That is amazing. But...Stanford will be at home. As we know they are riding a 17 (I think that's right) game winning streak. I do doubt that streak ends at Stanford.

I thought the media made way too much out of the LSU vs Bama game. Hell yes both defenses can shut down those offenses, can LSU shut down what Stanford brings, a legit QB? I think that would be a far bigger game than LSU vs Bama.

I have my fingers crossed that the football Gods..........,,,,,,,,,

It'll be hard to keep them both out. About the only way it happens is if Stanford and Okie St both win out and LSU loses to Arkansas. I guess that's all possible, but unlikely. I think it's a lot more likely that Stanford loses to Oregon and/or Okie St loses to OU.

If all those teams lose, it will make for an interesting set up. Suppose Boise St (and Houston? meh) are the only undefeateds left. Arkansas, Alabama and LSU would all end up 11-1 and tied for the SEC West lead, having each gone 1-1 against each other. The highest-ranked team in the BCS would be declared SEC West champs. I'd guess that would still be LSU, based on their non-conference wins over Oregon and West Virginia. Add in a win in the SEC Championship game, and I'm sure LSU would still be ahead of Boise St, based on an insanely-stronger strength of schedule. But would Boise St be #2? Actually, I think Alabama would still be ahead of them. So in other words, even if LSU loses, I think a rematch is a distinct possibility.

And maybe Arkansas could climb as high as #3. Could it be possible for the SEC West to have the top three teams the country? But because the BCS only allows two teams from a conference to take up spots in the 5 BCS bowls, poor Arkansas would get stuck in the Outback Bowl...
A one loss SEC team.Stanford/Okla State would go before Boise State. I do see Oklahoma beating Okla State. Oregon could beat Stanford, I do doubt Arkansas beats LSU.

I would love to Boise State vs LSU, but it ain't happenin'
