<p>My ex-wife lost her battle with cancer.  An inconspicuous mole turned into melanoma and spread rapidly throughout her body.  50 yrs old is too young to die because you are too stubborn to go to a doctor.  My sons were floored - they knew she had cancer but had no idea she was terminal.  Death sucks.</p>

Condolences to you, the boys and especially the grandson. '04...wow times flies, the stories of your escapades and the boys', then her responses always gave me chuckles when you'd tell a story. 50 is waay too young, I agree. Too many funerals in a lifetime, eh?<br><br><br><br>

<p>and I want to thank you for posting this - I've been meaning to get a couple of moles looked at, and I finally got off my lazy butt and scheduled an appointment today.  hopefully they're nothing, but there's no good reason to wait on getting them checked out.</p>

<p>We just lost  2  well loved community members here to cancer.. it is awful.  I am sorry for your family's loss.</p>

<p>Those skin screenings are pretty easy. I went this year ( 54) and hade  5 spots frozen off. DH is harder to convince..  this will make me try harder and make him go too.</p>
