Hi all potential losers!

I am afraid to say I am not a loser this week, no surprise there as I was in diet confusion this week.

Hope everyone else did better.

Hmm, maybe I should do that. Actually I doubt it would help this week. But at least I was bad and didn't gain weight.

I lost 0.8 pounds last week, and I weigh in again tomorrow. I have been really good about getting my workouts in and mostly good about watching what I eat, so hopefully it will be another good week.

I got a vegetarian cookbook at the library, so I will try out some of the recipes this week. They sound really good and well balanced, so hopefully I will find something that I can add to my regular menu.

I would love to join this thread!!! After fighting the 15-20lbs needed weight loss I am just sick of it. DH and I started watching "The Biggest Loser" this season. Never watched it before. It is very inspiring so far but I hate the fact they vote people off and I wish they showed the food they eat rather than just the exercise (since I already have the exercise part down!).

My eating in the last 3 days has changed dramatically and I am using what I think I learned on my cruise (where I actually lost a pound!) and using that in my every day eating.

I had gotten myself up to 166lbs through Thanksgiving, Christmas, and stress fracture. YIKES!!! This morning weighed in at 164.

My goal will be 145lbs. but more importantly I want to be happier with my middle portion, where I carry almost all my weight.

I'm waiting too. I weighed in today, but didn't like what it said and I was really good all weekend. Someone wrote here (or Active, or CR) to weigh everyday, and take the average for the week. So, I'm checking back in later this week with hopefully good news!

Congrats on your weight loss already Kristine! Keep up the good work.

Hey you guys, if you haven't already, sign up for HighHeat's weight loss challenge... it's over on the Post Race Tent. We are figuring out all the details now, but it's team oriented and 8-12 weeks long... extra motivation!

Can I be the midwest triplet? I'm at 160...on my scale (we won't discuss the difference between home and gym). Down 2lbs in 2 weeks thanks to ramping up the workouts.

Goal: 148lbs. or an inch off all the way from the tummy thru the tush

The week I run 7.3mi I lose weight, the week I run 16 I lose nothing. Oh well. It's a 140.6 not an 18.33.

Thanks for the dancing bananas Kate - you're just a day or two away from being a loser this week yourself!

Thought I'd share a book I'm reading that's given me some insight into my relationship with food. It's called, "Shrink Yourself. Free yourself from emotional eating forever," by Roger Gould, MD. It's about eating when you have negative thoughts (bored, anxious, sad), and not recognizing/addressing the thoughts you are having, but instead eating to suppress them (unconsciously). It's very well written and strikes a cord with me. I'm starting to look at why I think I'm hungry, what's really going on. (e.g., am I just bored at work, lonely at home, procrastinating tackling a difficult task...).
