First off congrats to Kathleen for a huge effin PR! 46 minutes may very well qualify you for sandbagger of the year! Great RR, too. Did a great job of moving through the pain, too - a key ingredient of success in marathoning.

Did just an average 6.5 this morning. Next week starts official training for Bayshore. Totally looking forward to specific training. I'm hoping to beat Kathleen for sandbagger of the year.

Ditto on the congrats to Kathleen. It would have been amazing if you DIDN'T have a huge PR after the ramp-up in training that you had. Now next year we'll expect you to shave off another 45 minutes.....

40 miles for me last week, which is pretty good for where I am right now. I'm training for a 20 miler in late March that I want to run in 2:45 or less, and I'm using that result as a gauge of whether I can run a fall marathon or not.

Only a lousy 3 this morning. We're getting buried in 18 inches of snow and strong wind. I must have looked like an idiot to anyone who saw me, especially against the wind. I could barely see with the snow getting in my eyes. Anyone ever run with ski goggles on?

I have actually fallen apart this week. Went to see about my toe and got nowhere and now, I lack motivation to cross-train. I have to head out soon, but hope to get in two hours of cardio later tonight.

Nettie -what's up with your toe?

so/so week for me this week. Weather's been rough on me (I'm benig a wimp). I've missed a workout per week just about every week since before the holidays.

I did a 12 miler on a freakin treadmill, though. That was something.

Today is the first day of my 18 week training schedule! I'll be doing 7 miles tonight w/10 x 100 strides...on a stupid treadmill.
