If you set your template to Power Turk Blue, you'll see a logo I just created. Can you give me your thoughts? Does it look too much like Coolrunning? (It wasn't intentional!)

I'm trying to come up with an 'icon' that can be used on merchandise, etc...

Wale away....

thanks

I like it overall, but its an awful lot like cool runnings. For that reason, I dont think it would be good to use.

I liked the other one you had here actually.

The big K behind the name.

I've "thinned out the runner and changed the angle. If you look at coolrunning's logo.. it is a 'stick' runner, but different - much like the one on our current main page is a 'stick runner'...

The K! in the background is ok, but that won't translate well to an ICON needed for merchandise - which by the way, I'm in discussions with a supplier for running cloths with our logo (once I get it designed!)

Well, you asked for opinions and you know me......

I like the basic runner, but dont like the "thinned out" version. maybe somewhere in between the two? (I prefer the one on on the front page) I like the angle change though. Its still very similar to cr's.

But, with cr being bought out by active.com, it may not be there for much longer anyway, so that may not even be an issue.

I like the logo better with the fancygrey (I guess that's the older, thicker one?) With the newer thinner version, I know it's a runner b/c it's a variation on the older. But if I were new to the site, might not know what it was supposed to be.

The problem (issue) with the one on the main page and the fancy grey is that I found it on the Internet. It's not ours and not one that I'd like to make permanent for fear that someone actually owns it or has it copyrighted.

what if I 'thickened' up the current runner?

Other thoughts?

reminds me of this one:

I used to do work with their marathon training program.

I agree, I think something more along the line of the forum default one is more appealing.

Purple Hayes is pretty creative, and came up with some really good one's for his forums. Maybe you could ask him to come up with one.

If you do want to open up logo creation, a contest would be fun. I'm sure Purple Hayes would submit good logos, and perhaps we have other strong graphic artists here, too? And the best submissions could be put up for a vote ...would be fun if you wanted to go that route.

High Heat is another person I just thought of, who is pretty good at graphics.

A contest may not be a bad idea

Maybe a unique title of some kind also.

Just a thought??

How big is your budget

I think some special recognition or free perk would be a good idea
