ME?? Feeling very discouraged lately. I was 152lbs over 3 weeks ago and now I am up over 156lbs and I don't know why. I am sticking to under 2000 calories a day with a number lower than 1800 if I don't work out. I am eating very very healthy food with the exception of a small bowl of no sugar added low fat icecream a few nights a week. Almost no alcohol as well. I know it could just be hormones but for me it's hard to tell. I don't have periods anymore (because of the type of birth control I am on, haven't had one since I got pregnant with my 3 year old) so I don't know what it going on there. I have had a migrain headache the last 2 days which I use to get every month when I had my period so I am guessing my body is doing something, but 4 pounds???? I am trying really hard not to lower my calorie intake because I don't think that is the answer but GEESH!!! It's driving me crazy

Julie, fingers crossed!

Kristine, hang in there, you are doing the right things so the weight will come off.

Me down 2lbs for 9lbs total since January. I didn't really try to lose this week, just focused on eating more veggies, Go figure.

Down 2.4!!!!!!

I have been religious about writing down every single thing (point) I eat and it's obviously working.

Kristine: It's probably just water weight, calm down. Trust what you've been doing the way you trust your training.

Kate: Do I really have to say anything? 2 pounds in one week is a great loss in my book!!! Awesome.

I'm at 235 this morning, but I'm waiting it out this week, it'll be down.. coming back from vaca, let's just say I suspect my bowels are happy to be home Sorry if TMI!
K - could just be sodium and/or water retention. Give it time... a bounce back very common.
Eric - You Rock Dude !

Back from vaca.. minimal to no travel until Alcatraz... good workout today... I'm regaining steam!

I just realized... 1 month until my first tri of the season!

OK, since I can't track my hormones very well and I have only been weighing myself regualrly for the last 3 months is it common to vary up to 6lbs in a day? I had been discouraged because I had been gaining weight over the last 1-2 weeks. Yesterday I was 156.7 and this morning I was 150.9? Could that really have been all water or hormone weight? Trust me, I am not complaining, just trying to figure out how my body works.

Kristine: Yes, that can happen. The other thing that will happen to me is I may lose 1 pound one week, then the next week stay the same, then the next week 2 pounds. Sometimes it takes a week or two for my body to register a loss. It's very frustrating especially when I am following and staying EXACTLY on plan.

But I have been looking at my weight loss tracker from 2003 when I lost 22 pounds, so I know what to expect. You are doing so great! I can't wait until I hit the 150's and you'll be hitting the 140's anytime now!

Hey - nice job everyone. Kate and Julie - you guys are doing awesome!! Eric, that's amazing!! And, Kristine, so are you - hang in there, even when it's frustrating, you're still doing everything right!

I completely forgot to weigh myself after my swim - yapping with the girls in the locker room, and then hurried back to work. So, I'll check in on Monday. Which means I have to be good this weekend. But, I have an 8-mile run, and a 45-mile bike planned, so there is some margin of error, right??!

K - I gained 14lbs one day. I about peed my pants. Actually, I needed to, 12 was gone in 2 days. This was after a particularly grueling weekend w/ lots of high-sodium drinks. My body just retained EVERYTHING. And I'm a DUDE, cannot imagine what would happen to one of you gals!

I guess to clarify, are you all posting your losses as individuals or is this a team competition of some sort? I'm trying to lose 20lbs so I'd love to join you if I could.

Everyone's just posting their own loss - there's no competition. It's just to support each other and add that little extra motivation of telling others how you're doing!!

I suck. Pretty much stuck at the same weight. I've been good this week with taking a packed lunch to work, I gave up Coke (and suffered the caffeine withdrawal headaches) and it's not helping. Hopefully if I stick at it there'll be a change - I've been tending to alternate a good week with a bad week lately!

Had to dig this thread up from the back page just to report - no loss or gain - holding steady at 128. That's okay, given that I discovered organic, no PHO vanilla cream cookies at the grocery store Friday evening. - no PHO doesn't mean no calories, that's for sure!

I have been on vacation and I am scared to get on the scale! Home now, but I ate like crapola all week. I did walk about a zillion miles (at least it felt like it) at Disneyland/California Adventure though! Sodium/retention will be my enemy after eating out so much.
